Hey Bees! In addition to being newly engaged, I’m also a writer for Brides.com and am doing some fun research on nicknames for an article I’m working on. With that said, I’d love to know what your pet name or nickname is for your husband and how did you come up with it? Looking forward to seeing all the cute/silly/funny things you call your guy 🙂

Mostly “baby” – we’ve both done it so long that it’s almost the other person’s name. He calls me other things though, like sweet pea and cutie.

I call my Fiance a ton of different nick/pet names… Mostly I call him Dee though, which stems from me calling him Kitty (because hes cute like a kitten, lmao) which then turned into deedee which then turned into Dee…
I think its safe to say, too, that he prefers me calling him “Dee” in public rather than calling him Kitty haha

I call my husband Papa, which probably seems super weird to other people because we don’t have kids. We do have a dog though, and it all started because sometimes I use a fake voice and pretend to be our dog talking to my husband, and I always call him Papa. Like I would say “Papa, let me out” and that sort of thing in the dog voice, and eventually it just progressed to the point where I call him Papa all the time. I know it’s a slightly bizarre story, but he doesn’t mind being called Papa, and I can’t seem to stop so we’ve both just accepted it, lol.

We call each other “B”. Not sure how we came up with it but that’s what it’s been for the past 5 years. We only call each other real names once in a blue moon.

We call each other the usual stuff. Babe, baby, love, sweetheart. But more often than not, I call my husband Beau and he calls me Bow, pronounced the same way but different meanings. We went to Kentucky years ago to visit his family and they called him my beau and I loved it so it stuck with him. Once I had my son, he started calling me bow and I assumed he meant beau but he corrected me and said he meant bow, like what you wrap around a present, since I was wrapped around our son, for 9 months. I thought it was super sweet.

We probably sound like seniors, but we mostly call each other dear and sometimes “my love.” We hardly ever use sweetie, sweatheart, baby or babe. Like never, unless it accidently slips out.
His name is Ryan (obviously) so I call him RyRy, Rhino, and Gorg. He calls me pumpkin.
