What’s your opinion of bridal boudoir photoshoots before the wedding? I’m not talking about raunchy sexual photos but more romantic and natural and artsy like the photos in the pinterest board above… I thought it would be a fun way to get photos of your little accessories like your jewellry or veil or garter and something fun to give your groom before the ceremony…sort of a reminder of what’s waiting for him later…haha.

I did a boudoir shoot (not “bridal” boudoir) as part of my groom’s gift to my husband. Our photography package came with the option for a bridal or a boudoir shoot and my husband picked boudoir. It’s his favorite gift from the wedding lol.

I HIGHLY recommend it! I did a boudoir shoot for my fiancé and the album will be his wedding gift. I felt so beautiful and I know he will be blown away when he finally sees the album!

I plan on doing a boudoir photo session either shortly before our wedding, or shortly afterward. I actually had an appointment booked a few months ago, but money became an issue and I had to cancel.
I’m really looking forward to when I can finally have it done. Fiance will love it, and I really think it’ll be a confidence/body image booster for me. It also helps that our photographer is a good friend of ours, so I shouldn’t have any issue with being comfortable in front of the camera (which I’ve heard can be an issue when having a strange person photographing these things).

Are you guys going for sexy or romantic/artsy?

I did one and it was great! It was more romantic than sexy (I don’t do sexy that well, haha). I wore my wedding night lingerie/wedding headpiece and then the bikini I had bought specifically for our honeymoon. They were really sweet looking – not scandalous or anything – but something nice and private for my husband. He really liked them. They’re in a book in his bedside table now.

weddingbeedoneanddusted: I’m not sure how to classify my pics, but they’re all very PG-13 (no actual nudity). Some ladies are a little more daring, but I honestly just don’t have the body for those kinds of shots lol. Here are a few examples

I think they’re a cute idea. I would love to do one sometime.

I did mine back in October. And they were not the typical Boudiour photos. My sisters best friends are amzing photographers and did an amazing job! I am still in Awe when i look at them. I will be giving them to my Fiance for his wedding gift 🙂 I wouldnt do it again but am so happy i did it 🙂

I will absolutely be doing one! I want shots of both bridal and non-bridal. I am willing to spend a pretty penny as I’ve never done it before and most likely won’t again but I just love the idea of it!
My Fiance is joining the Army and will be away for almost a year on training. I have a plan to get the photos done and give having a friend deliver my favourite along with a letter to him on the morning of our wedding (we won’t be seeing each other.)
When he leaves for training, and any other times he has to leave after that I figured I will pack him a new photo each time he leaves until I run out. I just think it will be sweet for him to be excited for something, and have a little “pick me up” waiting for him. None of the photos will be so bad that I will be embarrassed if someone else comes across them. My Fiance is verryy visual so I know he’ll love it.
I have run the idea past him vaguely though, I wouldn’t do something like that without gauging his reaction first.

weddingbeedoneanddusted: I want to do a boudoir session for my Fiance, but he said why do I get to have all the fun. About 3 years ago some photographer tried to make “morning after” sessions a thing. Something similar with the couple the day after their wedding. We are doing this. We may put on our wedding attire on, or at least part of it for this session.
