What about having lunch for breakfast? I was acutally looking for ideas for breakfasts online and saw that some people actually have soup or sandwiches for breakfast cause they’re just not into breakfasty items first thing in the morning.

I drive an hour plus each way from work. So I usually bake an oatmeal “casserole” that’s pliable enough to eat like a granola bar on Sunday and eat it throughout the week. If not I’ll do egg/sausage muffins.

I know you said no fruit, but I also do a “banana roll up” I’ll smear peanut butter on a tortilla, sprinkle chia and hemp seeds, maybe some coconut, shove a peeled banana whole in the middle, and roll it up to eat. Its not OVERLY sweet since the tortilla and peanut butter kind of take it over.

Hmmm, I don’t think my usual breakfast is TOO sweet but it might be too much for you. For work I’ll usually bring a banana, then I’ll cover it with peanut butter and top it with a few raisins. Perhaps nixing the raisins might make it less sweet for you and since the peanut butter is very much NOT sweet perhaps mixing it’s flavor with the banana won’t be so bad.

Have you tried any of the premade breakfast sandwiches you can grab in your frozen food section? They’re not always the best option, but they’re a good alternative to sweet stuff and they’re quick and filling. Or on Pinterest, there’s always a ton of different ideas. Like the egg cups you cook in the slice of ham, in the oven. or just the eggs in the muffin tins…or different scrambles. You could probably make those the night before. Or cook the meat and just dump it into a pan with egg. It’s kind of funny that you like eggs but don’t like the smell of them cooked. So sorry if this is egg cooking heavy. 🙂 Try Pinterest…there’s so many ideas there you’ll probably be able to have a different breakfast each day for a few years.

SisterJude:  dunkin donuts veggie egg white wrap and a black coffee. I pass the drive thru on the way to work, it’s inexpensive, and its quick. I am a zombie until I have a few sips of coffee and I try to sleep til the last possible second before I have to run out the door and don’t have time to make myself something most mornings. The few mornings I do its usually fruit.

Avocado smashed on toast?

Peanut butter on toast?

Hard boiled eggs (to aoid the cooked egg smell)?

Plain yogurt?

Cheese wrapped up in a tortilla (or on toast, again)?

I’m addicted to egg beaters (the flavored ones) because they’re quick and low calorie. I put them on a slice of low carb bread with hot sauce and it cooks in about a minute.

A banana… I just grab it on my way out the door… don’to even need to wash it.

Just noticed you you said no fruits….

Try a piece of toast or a spoonful of peanut butter.

SisterJude:  I like quiche, I do 8 eggs (or 2 cups egg beaters to avoid cooked egg smell), 1 cup broccoli chopped, 1/2 cup ground turkey sausage, 1 cup cottage cheese, 1/2 cup shredded cheddar, salt and pepper in a pie pan at 375 for 45 minutes. Delicious and I make on Sunday and take a piece in the morning to go and eat cold. Low calorie too.

I make egg cups. I put slices of ham in a muffin tin, then put an egg in each one, a little salt and pepper, some cheese, and then bake until the eggs are cooked. Once they’re done I put them into ziploc bags and freeze. In the morning all you have to do is pop one in the microwave.

My go-to used to be a PB and J sandwich on frozen waffles. If you don’t like sweets, don’t use jelly or jam. I loved it because I could throw the waffles in the toaster before stepping in the shower or if I forgot before I started my hair/makeup. Then on the way out the door, quick swipe of Peanut Butter (and for me, Jam). Quick, easy and not messy.

I know you said no fruit…..but grapefruit is not sweet at all.

Cut half a grapefruit and put it on top of a cup of cottage cheese. You can eat that on the go and that’s as healthy as it gets, plus the saltiness of the cheese takes over any sort of sweet the grapefruit may have.

Grapefruit helps your metabolism and it is a fantastic breakfast to jump start your body in the morning.

I used to HATE it and now I miss it if I don’t have it for a couple of days.

SisterJude:  mashed avocado on whole wheat toast with a dash of hot sauce is my jam!! I’m totally a savory person myself and prefer it over sweets most of the time!
