@BreezyBride24:  We have about 120 guests. And that price is with a cash bar! lol. I think we’re right around the “average” wedding cost right now.

We are only having, roughly 50 guests. Small wedding, so it’s on the cheap side.

@BreezyBride24:  I have a small family. I’ve also eliminatd some immediate family members (eliminated a few drama queens and people who thought my wedding interferred with their lives).  No cousins, Limited aunts/uncles, No co-workers. Only friends that we actually hang out with.  That’s it.   Our rule was – inviting people that our IN OUR LIVES, not  A PART of our lives.  We stuck to it. Its my 2nd wedding, his first. More of his family is coming than mine. I don’t care who comes from my side of the family. As long as my mom, aunt and my children are there.

We have a pretty tight budget and this doesn’t include rings or any of the DIY stuff (I’m making our centerpieces and just about all decor) or flowers (my sister is gifting them as our wedding present since she’s a florist)

 Our budget is about $3500 but i think it’ll be closer to $4K once all the minute details are set.

 

Current balances after initial deposits/payments:

Officiant – bottle of booze, her choice.  Fi’s cousin is marrying us and she requires a bottle of booze as her payment…lol

Restaurant (food only) – $1500.00 (this is estimating 90 people which is our current invite list but we expect to be under 75 due to distant relatives and out of towners, no deposit)

Bar tab – $800 estimated

Cake (wedding, grooms, and cupcakes to serve 60-75 guests) $230

DJ – $200 (we’ve paid out $250 so far, we got a crazy good deal!)

Photographer – $275 (another great deal, deposit of $100)

Popcorn Buffet – $50 (We paid $150 deposit for full service, fresh popped popcorn all night with 8 varieties of flavored popcorn, hot butter machine, popcorn balls, etc)

Day of Coordinator – $250 ($100 deposit)

I think that’s everything.

@BreezyBride24:  We’re in Wisconsin so the costs are a bit different but not that much because we’re still pretty close to Chicago.  I shopped around a lot and when I contacted vendors for pricing my first contact explained that I was on a tight budget and while I wanted quality vendors, if I couldn’t afford to pay for them it was a non issue.  All of my vendors were willing to work with me re: pricing, services.  Also, I’m not as concerned about “uplighting” and all the bells and whistles that are important to many brides.  Originally we were having the wedding in our backyard but logistics and timing prevented it.  We wanted casual, informal, intimate, comfort foods, good music, just family time…no crystal chandeleirs, no fancy gowns, no tuxes, no exotic dishes….that cut our costs extensively.

So my dad still owes about 15,000. This doesn’t incude all the landscaping, time and effort he has put in to having his Rnach ready for the event. We are getting married under a huge oak tree on the property, and then having the reception in his airplane hangar. I think it would have been cheaper to do it all at a venue!

 

*My grandma paid for the flowers, dress, invitations, and centerpieces. She used to be a wedding planner and likes to have some of the control. She offers to pay for stuff if she can help pick it out. lol 

 

** We have only had to spend about 500 out of pocket for gifts so far, and we will be spending about 2000 on our bands. Other than that, everything is covered.
