I like my black ceramic and tungsten rings. I wear those when I can’t wear my pavè. I just got mine off amazon. I think the ceramic one was somehing like ten dollars lmao

I just don’t wear a ring. I don’t understand why people need a backup, especially when going to the gym for an hour?

Congratulations on your engagement!

I go to the gym with a naked left hand. I tried the silicone rings and found that getting them on and off was uncomfortable. I also have a CZ set I picked up on Amazon for about $15 that I sometimes wear if I’m worried about losing my set (i.e. traveling). There are some situations (professional and social) that make me feel a little awkward about my engagement ring because it is a 2ct moissy and I get self-conscious about the size sometimes. One day I’m giong to treat myself to a 5-stone ring to wear as an engagement/wedding ring combo in those types of situations. Another bee posted a to-die-for 5-stone antique cushion cut ring a month or so ago and man, that ring is #goals!

If I’m traveling or in a situation where I don’t want to wear my diamond because I’ll have to take it off, I wear my plain band.

I leave my finger bare. I know I’m still married, Darling Husband knows I’m still married – I don’t need a “reminder” to hold the place of my actual rings.

I bought a cheap CZ set for this purpose but after my ring was insured, I just stopped taking off my ring. When I do take it off for heavy lifting, I just don’t wear any rings.

I don’t know anyone in real life who has a back up or spare. I almost exclusively wear my rings together unless I’m cooking something messy, but if for whatever reason I dont want to wear my engagement ring I just wear my wedding band. It’s a diamond band but it’s very dainty and not flashy at all.

If I had to choose between a “stand in” or just a bare finger though I would go without, but I don’t care what other people do. 🙂

aclockworklilac :  please direct me to this 5 stone beauty of which you speak it sounds amazing!!

Im currently in the car on our way to the lake. It feels weird since it’s the first day since we got engaged that I’m not wearing the ring but I don’t think I’d get a stand in ring/set either. Maybe something cheap when we get pregnant to wear on a daily basis if my fingers swell too much for mine.

I’m not any more or less married based on the jewelry I’m wearing. If I fear the ring could be damaged or stolen, I will forego wearing it – *gasp* a bare finger! Otherwise I wear my band if I feel the ER could get in the way. On most international trips, I feel perfectly comfortable wearing my ring, but that could just be the places we’ve travelled. On a cruise, for example, there are lots of people with ginormous rings; I doubt I’d have to worry about mine!

My husband and I both have Qalo silicone rings. Wearing a metal ring to the gym just isn’t comfortable. Unfortunately, my husband’s already split in two, and mine has begun to tear 🙁 It doesn’t get worn all that often and I don’t feel I’m rough on it. I intend to try an Enso ring soon. Sure, I don’t “need” one for the gym exclusively, but it’s nice to have. I also plan to wear it for any future beach trips, and would be good for traveling since it’s relatively inexpensive to replace. I have thought about getting a stand in for traveling, since we plan to do a lot of that over the next few years. I know a few girls that have pretty CZ rings that they wear when they travel out of the country.
