Flashy all the way! Simple or Understated is never a term to describe my style

bbforreal :  maybe instead of downsizing the diamond you could set your emerald as a solitaire on a plain platinum band ๐Ÿ™‚ Would be so gorgeous and classic!

Just a little thought ๐Ÿ™‚ hehe

My ring is the fanciest thing I own, but I’m still a jeans and tshirt girl.

I’m definitely a fan of intricate!

I’d say I’m definitely in the middle. Simple with a little oomph. The ring I’ll be getting soon is a round six prong solitaire with a plain shank. But, it’ll be rose gold, and it has detailing under the basket.

This is the white gold store sample:

My ring style is very simple:

My old set was definitely bling- bling and I loved it!  But I just changed to a solitaire with plain band and I love it.  It’s just very “me”. At some point I will get a diamond band but I’m going to take my sweet time deciding on that.  ๐Ÿ™‚

I can like both but if forced to choose I’d go for simple. I’m not keen on lots of scrollwork and milgrain but for example I really liked the Tiffany Legacy when I first saw it and it was my dream ring for ages, with a deep blue whopper of a sapphire centre. I then fell for diamond Victor Canera Emilya halos on Pricescope.

I’ve never tried a top quality halo ring on, I’ve only tried an M&S CZ halo on and it just didn’t suit me at all. At the same time I tried on a 2 carat equivalent solitaire on a pave band ring from the same range and I was surprised by how good it looked (I was shocked and depressed to learn it was a 2 carat equivalent, Damn! diamonds are small and expensive!)

I’ve now got a plain solitaire which I love and definitely wouldn’t swap for anything ornate, I think ornate rings just look a bit Disney on me, I can’t work out why. Maybe my tiny but bent and knobbly fingers aren’t elegant enough to carry them off.

gonnabeahewitt2017 :  Woohoo! Can’t wait to see it on your finger! ๐Ÿ™‚ Which type of metal did you get? Mine is palladium. Did you see my ring anywhere on here before deciding to go with that style, or do we just happen to have the same e-rings?

Definitely simple. I have never been a fan of intricate settings.

I like simple but distinct. I would worry too much about getting my ring dirty if there were too many nooks and crannies.

I would always have described my style as simple, but my Fiance chose this more detailed setting for me. I probably would never have picked this out myself, but I love it and wouldn’t change it for anything! It’s still low-key enough for my taste. โ˜บ๏ธ (Especially because the basket sits low on the ring, which was an absolute must for me because I’m a klutz.)
