I thought I wanted flashy and pave set bands and so on but when I tried some on they looked odd on me, I guess I’m just not elegant enough!! Now I have my simple moissanite solitaire and or suits my style down to the ground. I am getting a blingy moissanite wedding band though. A plain one looked wrong on me?!! So weird!

Not engaged yet but it’s coming soon (he said so last night… eeeee!!! :D) ok back to our regularly scheduled programming lolol.

I dont wear much jewelry; only earrings & on occasion I’ll wear a few bracelets or a necklace… rarely any rings. Because of that, I thought my ring style would be really simple. Not a all. lol I found solitares to be incredibly boring while I absolutely lost it for blingy rings with intricate details, twisted blinged out bands & double halos. The more, the better! lol I believe bc I dont wear rings often it allows me to be way less reserved when choosing a ring I’ll wear for the rest of my life.

I don’t like extra designs for designs sake, or embellishment so that a ring can look ‘fancier’. For me, ideally, The lines need to be clean, rendered down to an essence of what purpose they are serving. But I wouldn’t call that simple because there is a lot of skill in getting to the essence of something. I love rings in which the lines are architectural, creating a wonderful platform for the stone.

I honestly love both. However, for my ring, I chose intricate! I really think my ring is very elegant as well though.

This is a fun thread! I kinda voted for in the middle. My engagement ring is a solitaire in a pretty simple setting that’s shaped like a rose. My wedding band (which I can’t wear til June 🙁 it’s killing me haha) is more on the fancy/intricate side. It’s a curved band with leaves on it to go with the rose 🙂

Here is a little comparison between my e-ring on its own and my set (sorry they are all low-quality phone pics with bad lighting haha)

I loveeeeee fancy bling on others and in theory for me! But for some reason not on me. I tend towards simple and plain every time I have the chance. Who knows!

Simple I suppose..my bf (still waiting)picked the style of my ring. He thought flashier rings looked like old ladies’ rings. Lol.  I don’t like alot of color in my jewelry. For me this is still pretty flashy, and large,  and I’m thinking about a plain band.

It came with a matching pave contour but might be too much for me.

I feel I always try to blingy and fancy but I usually gravitate towards simple and elegant. I feel that my ering is somewhere inbetween.

Simple or fancy? I think I love both. It all depends on the size of the center stone. Most of the time I like more fancy style (halo/engraving/size stones). But for center stone over 9mm, I’d like to keep them simple. Simple solitaire will do the justice for big stones.
