Mine loves cereal and milk, nuts (almonds etc.), & fresh strawberries. Not to mention a ton of other things but he eats this ^ every single day..The funny thing is he eats it at night, not in the morning, as a sort-of late night snack before bed.

What is the famous engagement chicken?

What’s engagement chicken? sounds like a chicken that announces your engagement, lol.

my FH could eat any of the following all day everyday: protein enriched pasta and sauce, beans brown rice and greens, cashew butter and jam.

Sushi! We’re pescetarian, so no engagement chicken for us. I’ve considered making an engagement salmon, though! Haha.

My Fiance loves sushi, but unfortunately, doesn’t get to have it every day.  He told me that his favorite meal that I prepare is roasted chicken with lemons and garlic.  I wonder if this is the same as the famous engagement chicken, lol.

Okay, just looked up Martha Stewart’s recipe for Engagement Chicken.  It’s pretty much the same recipe I use, lol.  And here I thought my man proposed because he loves me.  I think he really just wants a lifetime of roasted chicken 😉

I looked up the recipe for engagement chicken and I think mine is better.

DH’s favourite meal is “large slab of cow fried” but he couldn’t decide between the slow roast rib (Heston Blumenthal-style) and the enormous Bistecca a la Fiorentina (which is actually grilled rather than fried). He also couldn’t call between goose fat roast potatoes and chips.

I didn’t get a chance to make the engagement chicken. Darling Husband had already proposed by the time I heard about it.

I did make Nigella’s sticky maple ribs and chicken, though! And Darling Husband was impressed, so who knows, maybe that worked.

DH’s current favorite meal is enchiladas. I was recently watching the Pioneer Woman cooking show on TV, and she had a really good recipe for “simple perfect enchiladas.” I ended up copying all of her recipes from that episode. The enchiladas were scruuumptious, and I served them with her garlic cilantro lime rice on the side, along with buttery cilantro corn. For dessert, I made her rice krispy treats recipe and topped them with harvest colored sprinkles. Darling Husband loved all of it and it was so much fun spoiling him!

My husband is a simple guy when it comes to food, despite years working in fancy pants restaurants.

He loves spaghetti and meatballs (the way I make them with spicy sausage and Italian bread crumbs), and a turkey dinner. I make him a dish that is actually a less disgusting version of a KFC bowl. Mashed potatoes, turkey, covered in stuffing. Bake, douse with gravy.
