So my wedding won’t be traditional but still love the idea of the old tradition of “Something Blue, something borrowed…”. I’m totally stuck on ideas on what to do for my BLUE!!! I love pink so my shoes, bridal sash, and hair piece are all pink. I’m borrowing pearls from my mother and old jewelry from my grandmother.
These are my DIY strass shoes (minus the height). Paint the bottom blue?

What is your something blue?

My something blue was my barefoot sandals. We get our CD tomorrow with all of the pro pics, but for now I have this pic that my friend sent me before she shipped them.
I love the idea of painting the bottom of your shoes blue! Just be sure that you’re careful so that you don’t make the soles slippery because of paint. I’m not really sure how that works, but it’s just something that comes to mind.

@Dee46804: Blue paint on the bottom could be cute! The shoes look great!
Panties are a cute, girly, easy something blue. Mine are a Victoria’s Secret Lacie thong from the “I Do” collection.

@Dee46804: you could do blue in some of your jewelry (earrings/necklace), undies, garter or your shoes soles. you could also tuck a blue hankie in your dress/bra.

I bought a cute little brooch that has blue in it to pin to the wrapping on my bouquet! It’s a little crab because I am obsessed with crabs!

the “I Do” stickers in blue gems are pretty popular for the bottoms of shoes…you could do that as an alternative to painting your soles. also a blue garter or blue underthings is always an option. blue toenails? blue hanky to hide in your bra in case of the waterworks during your vows?
honestly i’m having the most trouble with my “something borrowed”… :

My “something blue” will be my shoes. You could use a blue garter or get your toes painted blue. Each are simple ideas.

A definite upside to having a non-diamond engagement ring – my engagement ring (a beautiful aquamarine) will be my something blue. And hopefully, one day in the future, it will be my future daughter’s something blue as well.
