I’m thinking of using a portion of “The River Flows in You” by Yiruma.

I want to walk down the aisle to something a little less traditional. I’m not a huge fan of the bridal march. I love a lot of Vitamin String Quartet and we’ve chosen a few songs to be played of theirs while guests are sitting. However I need to convince my Fiance that we don’t have to be traditional in everything.

I want to walk down the aisle to something by Vitamin String or something else that’s beautiful.

I’m changing it up. 🙂 Family members and the wedding party are going to be entering to “Don’t Stop Believin'” by Journey adapted to strings by Vitamin String Quartet. I haven’t decided if I will be walking to something different. If I do, it will probably be “I’ll Follow You Into the Dark” by Death Cab for Cutie.

Even though we are having a non-traditional wedding by having an outdoor ceremony, we are still using the traditional Canon in D major song. Of course, call me a nerd, but I love the tone (and I love classical music in general). lol

@Carolyn72:  I would love to walk to that song but I think it could go either way for me… making me cry hysterically or give me some peace because it is really meaningful for me. (Wow even just typing that & thinking about it made me tear up- did i really just admit that?)

All these ideas are great though, I definitely want to do something a little more non-traditional.

OH and I will walk in together and I have two songs I’d love for my cousin to sing at the reception – In a Country Churchyard by Chris de Burgh (hopelessly soppy and needs the lyrics changed a bit as we’re getting married at the registrar’s) and Feels like home to me.

Secretly I’ve always wanted to walk down the aisle to the Imperial March from Star Wars but that might go over most people’s heads…..

Probably keeping things very traditional and walking down to Bach’s Jesu, Joy of Man’s Desiring for our Catholic Wedding Mass.

outdoor wedding here, the Lumineers “Ho Hey” is a song that perfectly captures the spirit and mood of what I have in mind for the wedding so that is what I’ll be walking to. We are walking together as well 🙂

Violenist will be playing The Prayer by Andrea Bocelli. Although I’m having second thoughts. The more I listen to it, the more it sounds like the song from Beauty and the Beast.

I walked down to marry me (by train) but it was played by a handbell choir. He played that song when he proposed so I had it arranged as a surprise.

Mine was Christina Perry’s A Thousand Years. I cried, he cried… which made everyone cry. <3
