That’s a great song, but I can see the “not really wedding” aspect – perhaps before everyone did “special dances”, but now that would feel a little old. Regarding not being a dancing person, Fiance was so uncomfortable before we started to take classes & now he loves it. I really recommend trying at least a trial lesson!
It’s a very sweet song, but I think we need something that’s a little faster.
That is such a wonderful story – gives me sort of a Casablanca feeling! 🙂
Ok, I can definitely see us doing something like this. We do love the foxtrot, so Frank Sinatra would be the perfect choice!
That’s different, a beautiful song but nothing we would KNOW the steps for! 🙂 You’re wedding sounds like so much fun – love anything that’s different & Jerry C’s version of Canon is certainly that! We’re doing the normal canon in D, but for us it’s a little special as we’re getting married in Sweden & there it’s certainly not what people would pick to walk down the aisle. So it’s a nod to Fiance & North America.
The lyrics is great! Wish we had a car moment like that, but we mostly sing along to commercials. 🙂
That’s a great message – I’ve always believed that change is one of the most important aspects in a human.
Such a dance friendly song, if it means a lot to you I think you should stick with it! No one else will know it’s the number one First Dance pick! Well, ok… other wedding bee’s – but not NORMAL people. 🙂
That’s my fear, that we end up with me googling a ton of songs & him going “ug”. Regarding your song, it’s perfect for anyone with a connection to the sea! We should perhaps try to find something that has to do with the forest…
I’ve checked the Knot’s list as well & just sort of got overwhelmed. I think it’s a good idea to pare our skills with the tempo of the music. We’re seeing our teacher tomorrow so I’ll ask him what dance he think we’ll be best at by the time of the wedding. That might help us to narrow it down.
