I have a weird one: I’m scared of swimming in water with fish. I like to eat fish and look at fish in an aquarium, but being in the water with them grosses me out because I don’t like them touching me or nibbling on me (especially lake water because all that’s in lakes are gross looking trash fish). It’s a real phobia; even at the beach I don’t like to get in the water past my ankles. I love swimming but am happiest in a pool where the water is CLEAN with NO FISH.

I have a milk phobia. I won’t drink it and I can’t stand for it to get on me. If a little bit of milk drips on to me it really grosses me out and I have to wash my hands immediately. I also get pretty grossed out watching my husband drink a glass of milk…or (the worst) dunk cookies in milk.

Wow! Yea, I’d be scared to… Me eating the fish vs. the fish eating me. Hahaha!
I have this odd phobia. I want to try out acupuncture so BADLY. But I feel that when I am there on the table with all the needles in my body, the fire alarm will suddenly go off and the acupuncturist will run away frantically, leaving me there to try and jump out the window to save my life (?) The door is where the fire is. In the hallway!
I think I saw a commercial on t.v. once LONG ago where this happened. The commercial actually did not end so the guy was just left thinking what to do with all these needles on his back. Aaaah!!

I am very afraid of centipedes. We get them often in our house during the summer/fall and once I see one, I can’t be alone. If Fiance leaves to room I have to follow him once I see one. God I hate those things.

EWWW I am the same way about cockroaches. Once I see one it’s like I want to move because my house no longer feels safe. LOL.

@ohheavenlyday:I have the same type of thing, but it’s not necessarily a phobia, I just won’t swim with other animals. Darling Husband talked about doing it in Hawaii, or like swimming with the dolphins and I was like HELL NO! I am not swimming with some animals that could touch me.
As for me, I always worry if I ever get an epidural that when they tell you not to move because it will paralyze you, I will just move. I’m sure there’s more.

I also have a phobia of bruises because my friend in med school told me that they can be a symptom of leukemia, so now if I have one in a weird place and can’t remember or explain how I got it, I worry I have leukemia. :/

Horses. Beautiful animal but I am afraid of them. I don’t understand what they are doing and don’t trust riding them.

I have a really bad phobia of getting needles, and hospitals in general. I faint really easily when I have to get blood drawn or an injection, and I’ve even passed out just from hearing someone describe getting a needle! At least my mom never has to worry about me doing heroin or getting a tattoo.

Its not a phobia really but I get EXTREMELY grossed out when Im wearing socks and I step in something wet. Just thinking about it grosses me out! My dog drools all over the place when he drinks his water and then the ground will sometimes be wet and I wont notice it and I’ll step on it and freak out and need to change my socks! I have to do the dishes with shoes on because there is too high of a chance of me stepping in a little bit of water!

People hiding under cars to slash your ankles. If you cut the achilles tendon, you can run away…TERRIFIES ME!

Butterflies. For some reason, I’m almost okay with moths. But butterflies scare the living sh*t out of me.
And ditto on swimming with the gross looking trash fish. Swimming with pretty tropical nemos = okay. Ugly swamp monsters = not okay.

@ohheavenlyday: I have the same thing about swimming with fishies! Totally gives me the willies.
Something random that I just happen to hate is other people (or come to think of it, even myself) touching the front of my neck. Like, the adam’s apple area. Hate it, not sure why!

Moths. Holy erratic fluttering…I can’t stand them. I’m convinced they’re malicious.
