My fiance’ proposed on 10.25.14. Being that the both of us always wanted a fall wedding, it made perfect sense for us to chooe 10.24.15 as our wedding day. We are 100 days out as of today and we are stoked! Woo hoo! 😉

We picked 9-4-15 because we wanted to get married this year, in September, and after after many venues being completely booked we happened across Dellwood Barn. Their only opening was 9-4-15.

We got engaged July 2014. I knew I did not want a summer wedding (it is really hot here) because I wanted it outdoors. That left spring and fall. So was either spring of 15 or fall or 15. I felt spring of 15 was a little too soon to plan so went with fall. Then my entire family is out of state and most are state workers so we wanted a holiday weekend but not one of the major holidays. Oct 10 is the Saturday before Columbus Day so they will have Monday off work.

Dec. 22, 2011. That was when my husband was able to take long enough leave to come home, get married, and then move me across country! I have always wanted an October wedding though – maybe a vow renewal!

My wedding date is April 9, 2016. We origionally wanted to do it in November just for the fact that my fiancee and I heard venues are cheaper around that time which was not true, it was April. Also we were going to have the date be April 2, 2016 but that is my aunt’s 50th birthday and she made a big deal about it so we had to change the date after we had announced it as April 2nd but thats a whole different story.

onthefritz: This is pretty much our story too.
September, October & November were all booked, my Bridesmaid had another wedding August 29. So we pick August 22.
I always wanted either an April or August Wedding, as I feel those are the nicest weather here in Aus.

Ours was May 2nd this year we choose it because we didn’t want it in too hot weather (Southern Hemispher) and it was the Saturday cloest to our 10 year anniversary which was April 28th

blossom78: I never get tired of saying how we picked our date! We share a birthday (was today!) and our birthday falls on a Saturday next year so it seemed like the perfect day to begin our lives together and husband and wife! We went out to a nice dinner and a dueling piano bar tonight to celebrate our last “birthday only” birthday and are both super excited for our next birthday!

It’s the closest Saturday to my late Mumma’s birthday and we wanted a long engagement and to get married in Autumn

Such sweet stories here on how you gals picked your dates!
We are undecisive as there are a lot of factors involved. We’d like to run off and get married late Sept-mid October or even possibly March, but we don’t want anyone knowing. We run the day to be our little secret. Our families are putting too much stress (which both Fiance and I are against) about picking a day and having a ‘wedding’ with guests.

8.13.2016. We wanted something in August. All of SO’s family gets married in August. Also, we wanted a Saturday because everyone is traveling to us. It was more expensive but I couldn’t see doing a Sunday night wedding or Friday. Saturday was most convienent for ourselves and our guests.
