- Wedding: March 2016 - Enoch Turner Schoolhouse
My Fiance and I met on St. Patrick’s Day, and got engaged that day too. So we’re getting married on March 17, 2016 🙂 It’s a Thursday which also saved a lot of $! I’ve always loved St. Patrick’s Day since we met – and now I’ll love celebrating that day even more 🙂

It’s a Thursday, which is weird, but our venue was booked up for the forseable future, plus we weren’t super attached to the idea of a weekend wedding. 99% of our guests work weekends or are retired so so far no complaints or “no” rsvps!

Ours is May 22 2016 we picked it because here in canada its a long weekend and my husbands side is mostly Out of Town so it will give them more time to travel

It was summer of 2013 and we had been engaged since 2008. I always wanted a Saturday June wedding, so my fiance suggested 6/14/14. Our wedding was outside on the water and that date had a high tide in the afternoon. Romantic, huh? : )

Our wedding date is 9 April 2016 – we chose it because we wanted to get married in April because the weather is great and my Future Brother-In-Law works away a 7 days at a time so it was the only weekend in April that worked for him to be there without taking a whole week off work 🙂

Our current anniversary is 6/13 but my parents’ anniversary is 6/14, and June weddings in the central valley of CA, is in our opinion way too hot. So we decided to have ours as 5/13. Plus we love having a Friday the 13 anniversary when it happens :).

We were engaged on October the 4th 2012, married October the 5th 2013. We were going to get married on October the 4th 2013 but I moved the date to a day later, thinking I didn’t want my niece and nephew taking a day off school for our wedding…well stupid me, it was school holidays. I didn’t realise until maybe two weeks before the wedding. Oops!

Just booked ours yesterday! August 27, 2016
We wanted to get married next summer, and it was the only date that the venue we wanted had available. It’s funny how a date that will be so important to you for the rest of your life can be decided in such a random way.

Fiance bday is the 20th and our twins came early on the 20th he felt that the birthdays meant something speacial so I added up the days of our birthdays mines, his, our kids and came up with 93 we wanted to get married in 2016 and 9-3-2016 happen to fall on a saturday!

Well our date is tentative as were so recently engaged still and the date is so far away but were thinking about Oct 21 2017.
My favourite season is fall but September still counts as high season for wedding costs. Also, one of my potential bridesmaids has a very busy month in Oct with her birthday, her SOs birthday and their anniversary all in Oct but this date doesn’t conflict at all with that or anything in our families.

September 3, 2016. We chose this date because I’ve always wanted a late summer/early fall wedding. We chose this particular Saturday in September because it falls over Labor Day weekend, and a lot of our family will be coming from out of town. We wanted to give them time to arrive, relax, and enjoy what will almost be a mini vacation!!!

Ours was March 14th, 2015. My husband is a teacher and it was his first Saturday of spring break, and we didn’t want to wait until summer 🙂

- Wedding: March 2016 - Miami
March 6, 2016 🙂
We live in Miami, so avoiding rain and heat leaves you with end of October (and that’s pushing it) – March for good weather. Since we got engaged in February, a fall wedding seemed too soon, and we didn’t want it too soon after the holidays so March seemed perfect. It’s also the least humid month of the year (according to weather.com lol).
We also wanted to avoid the NCAA basketball tournament which starts later in March. It sounds silly (my dad totally got it, my mom didnt lol) but we have several friends (two groomsmen in particular!) who I know would be following scores or even watching games on their phones. Neither of us wanted to deal with that so we knew we had to stick to the first two weekends in March.
We’re also getting married on a Sunday so that people can hang out at the hotel pool/beach on Saturday (also the food & bev min. is literally half on Sunday than it is on Saturday), and the Sunday after ours is the first day of daylight savings… figured people might mess up the time change and could be late. Sooo… after all those considerations, March 6th fit 🙂
The one drawback is that March is still high season on Miami Beach so the hotels are pretty pricey. But we don’t have many out of town guests, and a summer wedding in Miami is just about out of the question — 90+ degrees, high humidity, and almost daily rain, no thanks!
