My coordinator just sent me a detailed document to fill out so the wedding reception goes smoothly. One of the questions asked my and my groom’s preferred drink for the evening. I’m guessing so this is all the staff knows to bring us refills so we don’t have to wait at the bar? Surely this could be changed with a comment to the waiter during the reception, but I have no idea what to put down as my go-to! I like a little bit of everything, especially at weddings. I’d love to know your bridal go-to drinks!

- Wedding: Hawksnest Cove Beach St John USVI
Well since I had a brunch wedding I drank mimosas, but otherwise it may depend on what I was eating, time of day, time of year, etc. All other things aside, white wine spritzers work well because im clumsy and they wouldn’t stain and it would keep you hydrated and keep you from getting tipsy as quick.

One of my biggest fears is that someone will spill red wine on my wedding dress… or that I will. I am a wine and mimosa drinker… yes, mimosas are not just for brunch, they are delish and can be drank at any time or occasion.
What do you normally drink? You don’t need to have a set drink, its nice that the staff caters to you in that way, but you can change it up. Unless you only drink one thing, then its kinda hard to know in advance what you’ll be in the mood for that day.

I’m a white wine fan! Bonus points that it won’t ruin your wedding dress either!

I drank prosecco the whole reception! And yes they asked the day of and kept them coming 🙂

Does she mean a signature drink? Or just a liqueur that’s a must have for you and your guests? Like at my sister’s wedding, we had to have Jameson, Jack, and Patron, but their signature drink was something blue and sugary.
For me I like Screwdrivers and cupcake vodka with Dr.Pepper (tastes like red velvet cake) & my bf likes Old Fashioneds. So we will be serving those all night.

Btw I chose prosecco (Italian champagne) because its light, white (no stains) and because it wouldn’t get me drunk. if I’d be drinking vodka there may have been a chance of that! and a drunk bride is not a good look!!

He is a Jameson man. One of the first questions we had for the venue was if they carried it. I’m a red wine drinker but I will do white for the day. No purple lips for pictures. Whiskey and Wine- naturally our dogs are named Whiskey and Wino.

I’m usually a mixed drink person, but it depends on what’s available- like if it’s a signature drink I’m not too keen on I’ll drink a dry, red wine. Not much of a beer drinker.
