I am an Encore Bride (did the big pouffy white dress back in the 1980s)…

So I “think” I am looking for something a bit more reserved than that

Originally I thought something like a MOB Dress, in Beige, Champagne, Gold or Silver ($ 100 to $ 300 price range)

Since being on WBee, I’ve come to realize that I can be as fussy / dressy as I please, the OLD Rules in regards to Second Wedding Etiquette have gone out the window in the last 30 Years

    Amen.

So now I am considering something that has more of a wedding feel (in shape, styling, maybe some chiffon or lace), but not be thru the roof price wise… preferably in the $ 200 to $ 500 price range… so hopefully closer to the $ 200 mark than the $ 500 one

Lol, WBee has inspired me sooo much that I am actually drooling over a designer dress… and trying to figure how I might do a DIY knock-off of the concept / look

PS… Didn’t vote because I cannot check two categories (over $ 250, and hand-made / designed by me)

None of them apply to me.. Originally, the dress I wanted was $1850, but I ended up getting one for just under $1300.

My budget was going to be £500, but then my mum said she was going to buy my dress.  I wanted to only try on dresses within my original budget, but she told me not to worry about it – she’d just pay whatever it came to.  The dress she bought me cost over £1,000 which is ridiculous!  I tried to get her to allow me to pay half, but she wouldn’t hear of it.  So I have a ridiculously more luxurious dress than I intended to get (I was planning to scour sale racks and charity shops!) but I am in love with it.  Part of me thinks I ought to sell it after the wedding but I don’t think I’ll be able to.

Mine was up to $4,000, but I found the perfect dress at $3000 and it was during a trunk show, so I got it for $2600.

Realistically,my budget could have been up to $5,000. But I told the consultant that my budget was $2,500 to see what she could find at that price point, not thinking I’d find anything I liked. I ended up trying 4 dresses on and LOVED the fourth one. I spent less than 1/2 my original budget!!
