Do you have one? What’s your wedding style, or the one you wish you could have, or the one you did have?
Our dream wedding was like, polynesian/tropical/beachy, at a tropical destination. BUT we don’t get to so… lol. So ours will probably fall somewhere within modern-vintage to just plain strangely unique.
ETA: If you have inspiration boards or pictures of what you have in mind or actually had, feel free to post! ^_^

Funny you know I was asked this when I went back home. And I thought its not really a theme. If there were one I guess it would be called Family.
I’m wearing my mom’s dress which is quite I guess classic/vintage:
I am also planning on wearing a cathedral veil that is pinned on top of my bun and no blusher. The only jewelry I will be wearing are my rings and a pair of screw back pearl earrings. I would really like to have orchids for my bouquet but we’ll see what money will allow.
We are doing it at my grandmother’s church, the cake will be plain with a few flowers and possibly a cake topper and that will be made by FI’s uncle (pastry chef.)
We will have purple and light blue as our colors for the reception and the bridesmaids will wear convertible dresses in purple while the guys where suits with that blue color.
The food will be a buffet handled by the some of the family because they work these sort of events and didn’t mind helping me out for mine. We decided not to cater because we really wanted to have control over the food. We will have simple low laying centerpieces so everyone can socialize at the table (its also way cheaper!)
I guess its just sort of the way I remember weddings being when I was a kid, a big event that the whole family attended. I’m really excited. 🙂

No theme here except my colors which are black and plum with silver accents here and there.

- Wedding: April 2013 - Rhode Island
I voted for luxury/elegant, but it’s really more romance/elegance.

@Christy42213: bah! Didn’t think about romance. I had a picture of it, but the word beyond “classy” didn’t come to mind =

Yay! I love talking themes 🙂 Especially since I’m desperately trying to figure mine out. lol
I wouldn’t say that ours is “very unique” but I didn’t know what else to pick in the poll! We’re basically going for a whimsical, enchanted forest fairytale type of thing.
But I don’t mean, “I’m a princess” fairytale. I mean a REAL fairytale. Of course, we’re keeping it classy. I’m definitely not throwing a themed birthday party here!
*help me pick a bridesmaid dress!!*
Our centerpieces will be something like this. (This was just a quick tester with no flowers) We have mixed sizes of lanterns that we’ll line with moss inside. Then we’ll add bigger candles!
Table numbers like this. (Still working on my tester!)
Must have flowers mixed with freshly picked wildflowers!
Then here is my dress with accessories!!

My wedding style is “Why does this even have to be pretty? Can’t I just get married?”

@gangqinjia: haha! Please trade me. Being a perfectionist and planning a wedding is not going well for me.

Winter and rustic theme. White, bling, and natural things like pine cones, branches etc

- Wedding: August 2013 - Rocky Mountains USA
Mine’s a combo of backyard/bbq/homegrown, mountain/rustic (as it will literally be on a ranch in the mountains near where we live), and DIY (diy wildflowers, decorations, etc).
@gangqinjia: LOL, love it!

@yanamari: Elegant romance. Blush pinks, antique gold, and cream… lots of roses and beautiful candles. Very romantic.

I have a color scheme but really we’re just trying to go for casual romance. We’re having a late-morning ceremony and a luncheon reception so I don’t feel the need to get hugely complicated or fancy. I just want it to be romantic 🙂
I have an inspiration board that I put together. It’s kind of huge, sorry!
I’ve since changed my idea for the dress I want to wear and the colors have changed slightly but the overall feel is the same.

@lolot: Ooh, I love your mix of brigh oranges and turquoise! How much of your inspiration do you plan to replicate exactly?

@OnceUponATime: Wish we could balance the two extremes out. I’m so apathetic, I don’t even understand why I need to go to all these lengths just so my friends and family and wish us luck, eat, and leave.
