My theme is romantic-rustic.
I didn’t really have a theme at first, I more had a collage of things I really liked & wanted to add to my wedding.
I didn’t even know it had a name, until I joined the bee and realized it was “rustic”.
I didn’t have a wedding theme mainly because I was having such a tough time trying to figure one out. I eventually started aiming at the style I want my wedding to be and the colors I will be using. If you are having a tough time trying to find a theme like I was, try figuring out your style of your wedding instead.
Well, the wedding will be a mixture of things Canadian and things Swedish. So we’ll get married in Sweden and have a Swedish style meal, but the cocktail hour will be inspired by Canada and we’ll give out ice-wine as favours. Colours are white and red for Canada + blue for Sweden. As we’re getting married in the forest, that will sort of carry in to the wedding decor – we’ll pick the flowers ourselves and use wood that my dad will get from our forest. If I have to put a name on it, enchanted forest with a touch of Scandinavian rustic?
I am going for southern chic. Since my wedding is in a wedding chapel built in 1897 and is white It just felt right to have burlap, babys breath down the aisle and babys breath wreaths outside and beautiful flowers In shades of coral, cream and hydrangea green. I will have a monogrammed burlap piece with my soon to be old initals around my bouquet. We also found this cute cake topper with the silhouettes of a man and womens face in black that will be on a monocrammtic cream wedding cake with polka dots. My dress ties in as well. Its a classic aline with chantilly lace and organza overlay. Since my wedding is immediate family only..10 people the reception will be a big family bbq. Nothing says southern like some good bbq, homemade ice cream ,and all the fixings 🙂
No theme here. Just a color scheme and I’ve finally settled on one that matches the venue and is colors that I like.
‘Natural Beach Chic’ We are having a beach wedding and didn’t want anything to ‘beachy’ like nautical/sealife or anything like that. Someone on here suggested I check out Natural Beach Chic on Pinterest and it was exactly what we were wanting 🙂
Happy! Kidding, but it is what I am going for – just a place for us to have fun and celebrate together with 200 of our closest freinds and family – lol.
Antiques on the table, family style dinners, wooden arch at the ceremony – you could call it rustic. It’s more of just a farm wedding. Mismatched floral dresses – might have mismatched groomsmen (already owned suits). All of us girls in cowboy boots and pearls plus the whole thing is in his parents field behind the barn 🙂
I just really want it to be more like an old fashioned wedding where everyone shows up in their sunday best and eats good food together.
I’m going old school. Very romantic old world- candelabras, big lush centerpieces, rich textiles.
It’s what I always envisioned my wedding to look like… I don’t care if its been done a thousand times before… It’s very me and I am going to update it with pops of color and a few other things TDB so it doesn’t feel like its a wedding at tavern on the green circa 1985 😉
We really don’t have one/havent planned one. We just picked our general color scheme and the only thing I know is I want our wedding to feel romantic.
My wedding theme is 1940’s old Hollywood.
We decided on that theme almost before we got engaged. My Fiance is obsessed with history, specifically the time period around WWII, so to incorporate that in a wedding appropriate way, this is what we came up with.
We are getting married in a dinner theatre, and the ceremony will be on stage. Big feather centerpeices, very elegant and classy.
@jenilynevette: So I didn’t have a “theme” It was a little rustic, some classic, a bit of modern pretty much just anything we liked! When I realised how many different styles we had going on I got a little nervous that it’d end up looking like a mess haha.
This is what it ended up looking like:
I’m so glad it ended up being the prefect reflection of who we are. I think as long as the theme or style is YOU it will be beautiful!
Vintage romantic glam? I don’t know what to call it. Our colors are blush pinks, greys, ivory, black, and golds. Chalkboard wine bottles, milk glass, gold votive holders, black runners. Girls in pink, boys in charcoal vests/pants with pink ties and white shirts.
I want our wedding to feel romantic.
