Fiance and I have chosen the most perfect venue to have our wedding & reception at… only problem is … WHEN? First off I should say we live in Georgia. This particular venue is a restored farm. The ceremony would be held outside in front of horses in the pasture, the reception will be located in the restored Horse Stable barn. It’s absolutely gorgeous but due to it being a popular wedding spot, the dates are limited for this year. We had hoped to have the wedding this year, but the only dates available are September 15 and December 1, ugh. Worried September will be blistering HOT and December will be too cold :-/.. Should we just settle for a Spring wedding in 2013 and wait longer than we had hoped??
Check out the venue if you have a minute.
Any advice would be apppreciated!

October weddings are beautiful! There are so many great ideas to pick from when doing a fall wedding.

@kellirenee321: So I checked the temps, and Sept averages 75-87 and December is 49-61. I think that with that super gorgeous venue, either would be good, but I love winter weddings. You could do all sorts of amazing things with twinkle lights (which you can buy on sale now since Christmas is over), silvers, blues, greens, purples, etc, or even more Christmas type of themes with reds and golds, etc.
I think as a guest, either date is fine, but more guests may be free to come in early December than mid-September (busy end of the summer). As long as the indoor portion is heated or you can provide those heat stands, I’d vote December. Your venue is very pretty and could work with either, and I would pick either of those dates over waiting until spring.
