Hi Ladies! I’m unsure of a timeline for everything.
We plan to get married 7/29/2016. Our venue is an all-in-one. Our ceremony is 30mins and we also have a 6 hour reception (cocktail hour & 5 hour reception). We are not having a first look so we are unsure of what our timeline should be. When would you suggest we have our ceremony and reception start? I was thinking something like this:
3:30-4:00 Photos start
4:00-5:00 Cocktail Hour/Continue Photos
Once the reception begins, what is the order in which everything should take place?

What are your guests doing between the end of the ceremony and the beginning of cocktail hour? Are you expecting every guest to be in posed photos? If not, I would suggest going straight to cocktail hour and making it longer to accommodate all the photos.
As to when the ceremony should start and end, I think that also depends on your guest list. Are they late night partiers? Are there a lot of out-of-town guests that have a long drive home? I just checked the date…is your wedding on a Friday? If so, are you expecting a lot of your guests to take off the day/leave early from work?

Are you wanting to be there for cocktail hour? If not, photo time looks okay.
6-630 toasts and such
645 ish – cut cake
7-730 – first dance, grou dance (if doing one), flower/garter toss
730-10 – boogie on down!

flummoxed: well I would like pictures with my guests and the 30 minute gap is to allow any extra setup of the reception area
