Is that number supposed to include yourself? In the past when I received my friends’ invitations, I was always confused as to what number to write down if I was bringing a date. I have heard different responses as to whether I should put down “1” (bcs he is MY guest) or “2” bcs it’s the total number of people attending, as we are BOTH guests.
Now that I am making my own invitations, I would like to word it so that there is no confusion. Any ideas?

Hmm, I always thought it was the total number of guests attending.

I worded mine…. “_______ people in my party” that way you know how many people are total including that person

I thought it was the total also. You could always put “total # of guests attending”?

You’re their guests. Put the total in your party that will be attending.

@indecisivebee: It means the total number of guests. They want a total head count.
So, for you and a guest, 2.
