Think I may have voted ‘before thanksgiving’, but I meant to vote for ‘after thanksgiving/beginning of December’.

I normally put mine up at the beginning of December.  I won’t be back from my honeymoon until the second week of November so it gives me time to do some other necessary things around of the house after a long year of wedding planning….:)

I almost always try to put it up the day or two after Thanksgiving, that way it is up for longer than a month.  I then take it down New Year’s Day.

I looove decorating for the holidays! I have the urge to decorate before Thanksgiving for Christmas, but my husband makes sure I don’t get too ahead of myself lol. We usually end up decorating right after Thanksgiving.

We usually decorate after Thanksgiving/first week of December.I love holiday decorations!!!

When we were in Germany I bought a tiny tiny nutcracker and a wooden horse ornament. I think nutcrackers are kinda creepy …but I was in Germany! How could I not get one???

We have a tradition of buying a new ornament each year we’ve been together. This year it will be our re-purposed ring bowls from our wedding. 🙂 And yea the wooden horse as well.. shhh!

I normally decorate after Thanksgiving, but last year I was so tired of the hollidays being shoved down my throat before it was even Halloween that I didn’t decorate until a few days before. I was a major Scrooge.

Oh! What does everyone have for a Christmas tree? We have what I call our Charlie Brown Tree. It’s one of those tabletop ones, it’s totally tipped and lost most of it’s needles. But it belonged to his maternal grandmother whom we loved so I can’t bear to ever part with it.

I want to wait till our future kid’s first Christmas before we buy a “real” Christmas tree!

Even though the charlie brown tree will probably just move to another room.

I tend to buy decorations at the end of the season when they are all on clearance.
