After getting the ok from my family and fmil. I booked my honeymoon the day after the wedding. The main reason I wanted their permission is that they are coming from out of state and fmil is paying for our honeymoon! They both preferred to be in town the week before the wedding and help with last minute details. I am happy because I don’t have to return back to work between the wedding and honeymoon!
My honeymoon will be a 5 day Cruise to the Bahamas leaving from port canaveral on carnival!!
So when do leave for your honeymoon?

We are waiting about 6 months. We plan to go to Thailand in July when Mr. Roux is on winter holidays and I’ve saved up some annual leave.

Two days after, as long as the flight lines up at some point. Taking the day after to spend with out of town family.

After hearing from several friends about how they got little to no sleep from leaving for their honeymoon the next day, we opted to wait a day! We are leaving Monday afternoon after the wedding and actually stopping in Puerto Rico for a day before heading on to Antigua for 10 days. Had it not been such a challenge to get to Antigua, we would have left on Tuesday, but now we are pumped for our 24 hours in PR.

we got married in October and took our honeymoon in February. Couldn’t afford one right after and we went to the coast of Spain where it’s sunny and 18-20degrees……something I’d MUCH rather do in the winter 🙂
