I am actually planning the honeymoon for Cardigan and myself. She doesnt know a thing besides that we will be leaving straight from the wedding. I love teasing her about the fact that she doesn’t know anything.

It will have been about 10 months since our wedding by the time we go on our honeymoon. Since we are both students (but got married in the fall), summer was the only time we could go.

I didn’t have the funds and vacation time available to go right after the wedding.  So planned to save up and go within a year.  We ended up going 4 months after our wedding.

My Fiance’s friend is getting married the week after us, so we decided to wait a few weeks and wind down, that way we have another something to look forward to as well 🙂

Haven’t coordinated our honeymoon yet, but the plan is to leave that Monday (Memorial Day, we’re getting married on the Sunday) for Italy!!!  Super excited!  FI and I haven’t been and we’re taking 2 weeks to tour the country (Florence, Rome, Vatican, Venice, and Milan).

We are having a bit of a dilemma here. We have like 90% decided that we’d like to go to Kauai in Hawaii.  BUT the only direct flight to Honolulu out of Houston leaves at 9:30 am.  So now we are debating heading out on Sunday morning for our Saturday wedding or waiting until Monday morning.  Here are my thoughts:

Sunday departure:  This way we are on our way to relaxation as soon as possible after the stressful wedding!  We only have limited time for the honeymoon (1 week) so this gives us some more time.  Also this forces us to be organized and packed and ready to go the next day.

Monday departure: We will have family and friends in town that we’d like to see for longer than a couple hours!  We’ll get some more down time after the wedding to move gifts around, take care of last minute packing, etc.  This way we can get some more time at home before we head off on a long plane ride, plus the fiance doesn’t sleep well on planes so he will have time to rest before the 8 hour flight.

    What are you doing?

I’m going to teach summer school for 3 weeks after the wedding which will give us extra money and time to tie up any lose ends.  There will be a week to get ready for the honeymoon once summer school ends then it is off to St. Lucia!  I have a tendency to get sick after big events (ie. a 2 week cold after a vacay in Florida) so I’m hoping if I do get a tad sick I’ll be good for the honeymoon!

We won’t be able to go until my fiance has a break from school… which is around 7 months after. But we have a hotel room for a couple of nights after the weeding.. making it a long weekend so we can relax and just spend time together being lazy 😉

I got pregnant about 6 months into the planning so we’ll be waiting a year or so.

The wedding is in 4.5 weeks and we have no plans, so I don’t know and didn’t answer.
