We were married Saturday and left on Wednesday.  Definitely one of the best decisions we made.  We had a few days to take it all in and just enjoy ourselves.  it left enough time to pack after the wedding, instead of scrambling to pack before in all the craziness.  It also means we left on a weekday so the flight was not packed and very pleasant.

We’re going 4 days or so after the wedding. Time to calm down, make sure everything is packed and see overseas friends who’re coming just for the wedding.

We are looking at our honeymoon options now — and it looks like we will be going the very next day….I like the idea of following the flow of getting married and hopping on a plane the next day! We are looking at something beachy and tropical and nothing but relaxation and sun. 🙂

We’re planning on something in the southern hemisphere…so we will take our honeymoon about 5 months after the wedding when it is winter in Chicago and summer in New Zealand/Australia.  Not only will it give us another 5 months to save up for the trip after the wedding expenses, but we can get out of the brutal cold for a few weeks.

We decided even before we ever got engaged that the honeymoon was actually more important to us than having a wedding! Because of this we were sure to book the honeymoon right away and prioritized to arrange to leave for our honeymoon the day after the wedding! I think if you are planning on bringing your dress with you to the honeymoon to get pictures taken you should def do it soon after the wedding. I’m thinking, if you put the dress back on soon after the wedding the idea of wearing your wedding dress will still seem fresh to you but if you wait a while, it might seem weird since you had already gotten married– like it’s not new anymore..? good luck with your plans!!!

We haven’t totally ironed out the details – but Fiance will still be in school and I will (hopefully!) be a relatively new employee at my new job.  So we plan on taking about a week off for the wedding in October, and then we’ll hopefully honeymoon in April when school settles down for him a bit…and then hopefully we’ll be able to do 2 weeks!

We’re getting married, coming back to Texas the day after the wedding, then going on our honeymoon a week later!!! Can’t wait :]

We’re going on vacation immediately following the wedding but with family (it will be around the holidays), and then next summer we’re headed over to Scotland for wedding party number 2 (with more of his family and friends) and will go on our honeymoon from there…so basically 7 months later. We’re totally fine with it tho since we’re at least getting away right after, and this gives us something to look forward to

I picked a week to a month after: We’re getting married on Sunday afternoon and staying in a hotel on the beach on our wedding night. We’ll be working Tuesday- Thursday that week and heading out to O’ahu on Friday morning for eight days. Ohhhhh, we’re so excited.

10 months and 1 day! lol
