yikes I’m so glad this thread popped up!!!!
I’m sitting here doing the return address on my envelopes wondering if I’m too ahead of myself!
After reading everyone’s posts, I think I’ll be mailing them out next week??? I still have a few things to do.
Are you guys doing the addresses yourselves or hiring someone??

I painstakingly hand wrote all of ours in my neatest Landscape Architect handwriting. I have now written our return address aout 160 times (twice on every rsvp and on the invites..)

- Wedding: May 2014 - Madison, WI
We are now mailing ours this weekend. The one I sent as a trial run to my parents made it through just fine!
Sadly, we are already getting declines!
Like 10 of FI’s family already said they cannot come because “They just couldn’t work out coming to our wedding AND taking their ANNUAL week long trip to Hilton Head Island, no matter how they tried to schedule it.”
A few others can’t make it because it’s just too far to travel which I understand. But I’d like to start getting some acceptances! It’s a bit sad hearing from all these people who are not coming before they even get their invite.

I mailed ours today, our RSVP date is April 16th.

Our wedding is May 10 & we mailed invitations Feb 11 because ours is a semi-destination wedding (in-state, but 3 hours away from most guests). Hotels started booking up, and even though we have room blocks at 3 hotels, I was getting anxious that not everyone would have a place to stay! We started getting RSVPs back immediately. My favorite part of the day is checking the mailbox now for our little envelopes! Can’t believe we only have 78 more days!

ouch. I got one of those embosser things on sale way back when, and I’m so thankful I did. Return addresses are D.O.N.E. I think I’ll be writing my own addresses – I’m a teacher with stereotypical “elementary-school teacher handwriting” so hopefully it will work out well enough!

Our wedding is May 17th. Our invitations were sent out on Tuesday (February 18th). The RSVP deadline is April 17th.

We are sending our invites out the first week in March, our stds actually went out back in September since our date falls on Memorial Day weekend 🙂

At the time of our wedding, we will have been engaged for 22 months and we had our venue booked 21 months in advance. Most of our family and friends have been aware of the date since, and we sent out our save the dates with hotel information in September.
Since our venue doesn’t require final headcount until 5/10 and the seating chart until 5/17, we were going to send our invites out on 3/22 with an RSVP date of 4/26. That will give me 2 weeks to follow up on missing RSVPs and an additional week to figure out the seating.
The invites have been sitting in my guest room (aka wedding central) since December and I am so excited for our friends and family to finally see them!

My wedding is the 10th and we are sending them out March 8th, so I am right there with ya. I don’t want to send them too far in advance. I am afraid people will lose them, or think “I will just rsvp later,” and then forget.

Now I feel like I’m pretty late for not having sent them out yet for the 24th…I’ll try to pick out a style and wording this weekend lol

I am feeling like a straggler too and it is starting to worry me. My wedding is May 17 and we are sending them out next Monday. Nine weeks notice should be enough since most guests are in town and out of town ones already know and have booked their flights…right??

Getting married May 23, and once our invitations are here, all we have to do is add stamps and off they go. They should be here this week – left it a little later than I’d like but not much I can do about it. We did send our Save-The-Date Cards out back in September, so everyone is aware of our date.

I figure most people will have at least 3 weeks to send in their RSVPs, and everyone has Save the Dates, so they know what’s up already.
