I would wait until you get that second job. But it shouldnt matter if its one week from now or 2 months. Once the house is yours, its yours.

I don’t think they can “re-verify” after you’ve closed.  I mean you’ve already signed on the dotted line and the house is yours.

Once that house is yours you can do whatever you want!

i know that they verify your employment before the house it yours but i do not think that they will re-verify it once it is yours, also i think that as long as you have the money to keep on paying for it, it will not be a great deal even because you are planning to have another job

@plainjane115:  Since you plan quitting anyway I would take any available vacation days as well as call in sick as necessary or schedule them for first thing in the AM and go in late or leave early and schedule for last hour of the day. Many interviewers will understand if you have to do it around a current work schedule.

It really is true about the whole “Its easier to have a job when you have a job.”

@plainjane115:  As long and you have closed you’re good 🙂 I quit my job after buying a house around 7 years ago… I pretty much waited until we were moved in and then handed in my letter. Good luck!

I am pretty sure that once it’s yours, it’s yours. I wouldn’t quit your job until you have secured a part-time job, though. Things tend to go wrong when you do things like that.

@plainjane115:  Wait until you get the second job. I was thinking of quitting one of my two jobs and was told to wait 3 months before I do so after we closed. I was told it from our bank and they feel if you get the home and then quit that you will default and applied under false pretenses, not sure if its true but Im waiting just to be sure.

@plainjane115:  Our bank is being really picky at the moment. The one we bought was originally a custom house that was in the process of building and they stopped paying half way through construction. We got a good deal but the bank was really tough on many things.
