vancin86 :  so here’s a question: when did you have sex from Nov 20th to the 27th? That will clue us in.

Subchorionic hemorrhage can be heavy or light. I had 2 this pregnancy. I started bleeding at 9 weeks and damn near had a heart attack because I had miscarried 2 months prior. It was bright red but didn’t last. It has something to do with how the baby implants. I’m 23 weeks now and baby is fine.

What you are describing sounds like a period AND ovulation. Did you have sex on the 24th, 25th, or 26th?

Good luck to you, Bee!

What does your boyfriend think about the possible pregnancy? I recall you said he was OK with TTC, but that you’d only been dating him a year, and that he wasn’t ready to get married until at least 2 more years. What does he feel about the commitment of having a child together?

I hope that your relationship has continued progressing, and that things are going well for you.

I think it’s too early for a subchorionic bleed, you usually don’t get those until a bit later on when the placenta has formed a bit more. I agree likely a very early ovulation and implantation but given your bleeding/period and one sided pain around thanksgiving I would be pushing for at least some serial beta hcgs or early ultrasound to check for ectopic pregnancy

I think she is going to purposely avoid all our questions about her relationship because she knows all the advice on her previous post cautioned her it wasn’t the best plan to have kids with a guy who wouldn’t marry her. I hope this works out for her and this gamble pays off.

Keep us updated bee and good luck 😊

I had a very similar situation back in April, but mine did end in MC. I had a regular period at the end of February, thought I had one at the end of March, and then had spotting about two weeks later, which was very uncommon for me. At that point, my doctor advised me to take a pregnancy test and it was positive. Since there was concern about the spotting, she had me do a couple of blood tests a few days apart, which showed the HCG going down and then another to make sure it zeroed out. Hopefully yours will be fine (spotting can be very normal in early pregnancy), but she did date my pregnancy around 6 weeks, with the end of February being my LMP and March being late implantation bleeding.
