I think it’s good to not me in full wedding-planning mode at this point for you! We took about a month after getting engaged before we actively started planning. We wanted to have time to enjoy the moment and share in the excitement with our family and friends.

Once you start looking at venues, dress shopping, picking color schemes, etc. it will feel a lot more real πŸ™‚

The thing is, for me, it still doesnt feel real! We’ve booked our venue, met with caterers, and I picked out a dress! I plan many events for work, so to me, this is just like that … only it’s for me!

It doesn’t feel real at all for me yet. Maybe it will sink in a bit more after I get a dress, but it feels sometimes like I’m planning an elaborate party that may never happen.

Nothing feels real for me yet, can’t wait to get that feeling of “wedding jitters” πŸ˜€

Today, I changed my countdown in my kitchen to day 49 and it’s starting to feel real.  I’m feeling all jittery and can’t focus on anything for more than a few minutes at a time.  I’m kinda feeling sorry for everyone around me if this is what I’m like on day 49 lol

It’s only been in the last week or so that it’s started to feel real though, so you might have a ways to go…

It depends on the person i think! lol I am less than 3 months away from our big day and everything down to the last detail is finished and it still hasn’t hit us yet :))  My mom and aunty have a bet when it will feel real to me.  My mom thinks the night before our wedding during reherasal and my aunty thinks when they surprise me with the bridal shower lol.  So will see who wins!! πŸ™‚ I personally think it will be the week of my wedding! lol

It didn’t totally hit me until I picked up my dress the week before the wedding.

Yeah, it doesn’t feel real for me yet either.  I have a venue, photographer, and a dress.  I’m sure it’ll only hit me that day…haha.

I’ve been engaged 9 months now and the wedding is still 17 months away. I think once we hit that magical “less than a year” it will be a big milestone for how I feel.

I have a venue, photographer, videographer, caterer, dress, and cake… but it still doesn’t feel real. I’ve kind of been wondering the same thing. πŸ™‚
