I’ve been engaged for almost 3 months now, will be married in 10 months but often the fact that I’m getting married in less than a year feels surreal. It hadn’t hit me that ill be married and living with my love. I have an old school, religious, family and for cultural reasons I didn’t move in with my SO and won’t till we are married. It’s approaching our 3 year anni and for a while I’ve longed for the day I can go to bed and wake up next to him.
Yesterday I tired on my first bridal Lengha (a traditional Indian bridal dress), suddenly it hit me and all started feeling so really. “Holy crap, I’m getting married in 10 months”.
So my question to you all is what was that moment for you? The moment when it went from being a reality to actually feeling like a reality.

While trying on wedding dresses for the first time. Lady at the shop noticed it and said “yes, you’re going to be a bride!”

It never really does. You’ll have moments of “holy crap – this is happening.” I was engaged for a total of 22 months and married a week now. I don’t think it’s hit me that I’m a married woman now. Haha. It’s super crazy. Enjoy EVERY moment.

I was engaged in April…. To be married in February… It started feeling real about a month ago.

When I settled on a dress. Trying them on just felt like really expensive dress-up until I fell in love with one.

Honestly? It felt real when we got home from the honeymoon. Is that weird? I kept thinking to myself that it was all just a really great dream. 🙂

Yeah I often feel like its all gonna go by too fast.

When we sent out the save the dates. I had a “moment’ when I had my dress on, but it really all started feeling real once we sent out the save the dates and people are already RSVPing! Now there’s REALLY no going back! I don’t mean it in a bad way, I mean it in the “I have 9 months to put together this amazing event” way.
To Pinterest I go!

The morning of the wedding. I woke up to see my wedding dress hanging up and suddenly realised “this is happening”. I most certainly realised how real it was when I was standing in the dress and all the accessories.

Been engaged since September 2nd, and I think I’ve decided on my dress, and we’re deciding between two venues. I’m pretty sure it won’t really hit me until the day of, unfortunately. But maybe when we pay for the venue which covers service and dinner and the ceremony… sooo… basically when we pay for the wedding, maybe? Don’t know!
