I had a semi adorable day when I finally realized that this is IT, and I am getting married! My Future Mother-In-Law was packing away my fi’s favorite christmas ornaments for us because it would be our first official Christmas together in 2014.. It kinda struck me how monumental the moment was.
When did it finally hit you that you were getting married?

I went for a sunrise jog along the lake , and just thought about how it was my wedding day! Very zen.
But it didn’t really “hit” me until after the reception!

I’m waiting for it to hit me… hasn’t happened yet!

It hits me all the time now that we have less than a year to go (we’ve already been engaged for almost two years!). I keep realising that this is our last Christmas a non-married couple and just thinking about sending out invitations mid-March is making it a lot more real! Also, my FI’s step-sister is getting married in August and I’m really excited that my Fiance and I will be attending as HUSBAND AND WIFE! Anytime I think about wearing my wedding bands I get giddy aha.

@happilyeveraftergirl: Midnight before the wedding….I had to write my vows and I felt like a basket case! We were all staying in a cabin and when I went outside DH was sitting there. We just sat there talking and looking at the night sky, it hit me during that moment.

On the wedding day when I was putting my dress on haha! Until then it really didn’t feel real to me.

Well I started feeling a twinge of reality when we put the invitations in the mail. No backing out now right?
Honestly it wasn’t until I had my first look with DH with me all done up in my finest that I realized holy crap! I even started bouncing up and down and said to him “oh my gosh we are getting married!” Yes, our videographer caught that on film…too funny.

When I found THE dress! I stared at myself in the mirror and said to myself “This is the dress I’m getting married in”
And once again when I looked out of my bridal suite window to see my Fiance (at the time) show up for the ceremony! I had that tiny devil on my shoulder whispering in my ear that he wasn’t going to show!

Once I’d finished getting into my dress and had all of my jewelry on. It was probably about an hour and a half before I walked down the aisle. In the raw footage from our videographer, you can clearly hear me say “Holy shit, I’m getting married!” I’ll never forget that moment.

It hasn’t hit me yet…I just wrote a post about that earlier.

@MrsPaulsBabyBallerina: Awwwww that is the cutest thing! @Treejewel19:
Oh my gosh, I love that! It seems like a few girls got that moment caught on video and that is just so special!!!! It makes me want to hire a videographer.
Hahahhah that’s awful that you had that little devil telling you that! But I can relate.. After watching Wedding Singer when the girl doesn’t show up and he flips out? Yeahhhh

I don’t think I truly realized it was my wedding day until I heard that my groom had arrived at our venue. Everybody said he looked so happy. I stood there in my wedding dresss, looking in the mirror, thinking OMG this is it and I’m so lucky!

@happilyeveraftergirl: I’ve been engaged for 9 months now… HOLY HELL, that sounds crazy. Anyway, it randomly hits me in little spurts. I’ll be sitting in class or driving down the road and get all mushy and teary eyed.
I don’t think it REALLY hit yet. I’m not a cryer, but tear up all the time at wedding stuff now, so i’m sure as we get closer I’ll turn into a basket case. LOL
