I have a dilemma. I rented a photobooth for 3 hours, but I’m not sure when to have it set up to get the max use. our cocktail hour is outside, so that’s a no go. The reception area opens at 6pm, with dinner served at 645. Do I pay for the photobooth to be set up at 6, and hope people use it during dinner, or wait until 730 to have the people come, when people are more likely to use it? I really don’t want to pay an extra $100/hour to extend the rental.

Wait until 7:30. Nobody will be using it during dinner so if you had it come for cocktail hour, you’re still just paying it to sit there during dinner. Plus the better pictures will be once people have had some drinks anyway!

Agreed with pp, nobody is going to use it during dinner. Plus you’ll get funnier pictures when the alcohol starts flowing and people are a little more “loose”

We are doing our own photobooth with polaroid film.
The bar, photobooth & candy buffet will all have signs stating what time they open, which will be after dinner.

Mine was super crowded during cocktail hour and then it tapered off the rest of the evening. I would recommend that you make sure your DOC and your DJ are reminding people that there’s a photo booth. I paid for the whole evening from cocktail hour until the end of the wedding. I think it was excessive but I always hate being the one who wants to use the booth and finding out it’s closed.
