gthgv :  We spent August 2016 to Dec 2016 long distance with both of us in our own places. Jan 2017 to Aug 2018 he lived in his condo and I lived with my mother. Sept 2018 we moved into an apartment together in a city between both of our work places. In March we bought our house and we moved in in May. So we’ve lived together just over a year.

We moved in seven months after we got engaged. I didn’t feel comfortable getting married unless we were engaged.

I want to say we moved in after 4 weeks.  We both owned our own homes so we we were back and forth between the two.  Only occasionally were we apart at our own homes.

According to the government, we moved in together 18 months after we met when he declared my home as his primary residence on his income tax.   That was the big step that moved us toward getting common law status and the only time it felt like a big deal.

It was right for us.  17 years and 2 kids later we are still going strong.

Just a bit less than a year of being seriously involved, but we had been seeing each other for about 8 months before we decided to be an exclusive/serious “couple”, so from first date to moving in just over a year and a half. At the time it seemed a little early but with the way my now husbands career worked, typically he was on 1 year contracts so it would have meant waiting a whole year more for him to relocate, or relocating but not moving in togther, and then we would have been in the same city renting 2 apartments but realistically spending 5-7 nights a week together anyways, so we just went for it.

The day we got married 5 months ago. But my husband had to move out about a month ago for a new job at another city, and I can only join him once my semester is finished. 🙁 So, we’re going to move in again I guess…

We started dating at 18 him 19. 5 years into our relationship I told him I was ready for marriage and a month later he proposed and. Month after that we can a small civil ceremony and a back yard wedding at his mothers house. And moved in the very next day.  Married 4 years now, now I will admit since we didn’t live together before we got married it took tome to get used to our lives meshing together.

After 6weeks more or less.
It was all very natural and we went with the flow. After the 4th day together I went for dinner and never really left after that ha!
cliche as hell, but, it just felt right

Going on 5 years now 😊
