@FutureMrsKelly2014:  I still love looking at the dress boards even though I have my dress already … There are so many gorgeous options out there!

How long before your wedding did you buy/order your dress?  I ordered my dress in January, and my wedding is in November … So about 10 months before.  It already came in, so that’s exciting!  It didn’t take as long as I expected to receive it.

Did you have dress regret?  No, none at all.  I was a little worried when I first choosing a dress that I’d pick the “wrong” one.  I had a really strong reaction to one specific dress (actually cried!), but I wasn’t sure if it was really the right one since I kept thinking about a couple of other dresses I’d tried on as well.  I went back for a second appointment to try on the dress that made me cry … And I cried again!  I knew it was the right one at that point.  When I tried it on again after my actual dress arrived (not the sample), I still felt so excited and happy.  I can’t wait until my fiance sees it!

If you haven’t bought yet, when are you planning to buy?  N/A

I went dress shopping about 10 months before because my sister was home and I anticipated having to order the dress. I ended up buying the sample so I don’t have to worry about when it will come in.

As for dress regret.. YES. I think it was because I only want to two shops and the process felt rushed. Soo when I joined the Bee I saw tons of different dresses and made me second guess my dress. I am feeling more confident about the dress now (partly because I don’t have a choice to change dresses haha)

How long before your wedding did you buy/order your dress?

    10 months before.

    Did you have dress regret?

Sort of. I kind of regret not going to a salon and trying on lots of different styles. I bought this one because it was lovely and very affordable. I have no idea if other dresses would look better on me. At the same time, I’d probably choose it again based on the price. It’s just a dress! I think dress regret is something people feel when their dresses are expensive. If you’re dropping $1k on an outfit you only get to wear a few hours, of course you’re going to second guess yourself.

I purchased my wedding dress a year and a half before the wedding and it came in a year before the wedding. I had a lot of dress regret once it came in as my wedding had changed a lot (went from small, to big). I also felt I rushed purchasing the dress and got caught in the moment.

I ended up purchasing a second dress about 4 months before the wedding, and just came in. Love my 2nd dress so much and cant wait to wear it.

Buying my dress was the first wedding-relating thing I did.  I bought it about 11 months prior to my wedding.  I love my dress, but sometimes I do wish I had taken a bit more time and looked at more options.

I haven’t got it yet, but will be doing so at the end of the year, so I voted 9mos-1 year ahead.  I am hoping to be a wee bit smaller before trying them on.  LOL

I bought mine the day before I got my ring, which was less than 4 months before the wedding.  One shop, 45 minutes, 2nd dress I tried on out of 3.  Paid in full, out the door.

Never had any regret.  I loved my dress.

I purchased my dress two weeks ago, so 18 months in advance.  I am constantly moving around due to my career path so this was the only time I knew I would be home to go shopping with my mom and girlfriends and have enough time to order the dress.

Bought my dress about 18 months before our original wedding date. We ended up postponing our wedding another 15months. So in total I’ll have had the dress almost 3 years when we get married this September!! Insane I know but I seriously still LOVE my dress! I have no interest in even looking at another dress, it’s definitely my dream dress. I love everything about it have never second guessed it.

We got engaged December 2012 and won’t be getting married until September 2014. I purchased my dress the day after we got engaged. I’ve been planning the wedding for a long time now and knew exactly what I wanted. It’s a classic dress that I knew wouldn’t go out of style any time soon. I loved the dress and was afraid that it would be discontinued by the time the wedding got closer.

I bought my dress in October for a June wedding.  Nope, no dress regret.  But I’m not as hyped about certain wedding related things as other brides, so I didn’t think about it.  If I saw another dress I liked, I thought “oh that’s pretty,” without wishing it was mine.  When it came to picking the dress, it was one thing I was very happy to have checked off the “to do” list.

How long before your wedding did you buy/order your dress?   I will be ordering my dress 3.5 months before my wedding

    Did you have dress regret?

If you haven’t bought yet, when are you planning to buy? I’m getting married mid-oct, and will be ordering the dress end of june. i have been in communication with the designer and she said that was fine, and they’re actually already dying the fabric. I don’t know what I will do if I don’t like it, but I’ve been in love with it for a year now and it’s being custom made to match my bouquet, I really can’t vision not loving it. Plus, getting it this close to the date means I won’t have tons of time to get regret!
