I bought my condo before we were engaged, we plan to buy a house together after we get married but before kids.

We want to wait a few years before buying a home. (: We’re both in school right now and where we are at is a great location until we are ready for that step!

We signed a contract on our house about 6 weeks after we got engaged! The timing worked great for us. We did not live together before getting engaged and we had the money to buy, so it just made a lot more sense to us to buy a house together vs. rent and buy later. Also there was a little bit of a push for us because we bought during the Obama $8,000 tax credit for buying a house thing, and that was about to expire. So we moved FAST after we got engaged to sign the papers before December 31!

I voted twice because Darling Husband and I bought our primary residence when we were engaged, and then we bought an income property several months after we were married.

I bought my first home after DS was born, but loooong before I met Mr. LK. We bought our forever home 8 months after the wedding.

We’re planning to buy around 2-3 years after we get married, depending on how quickly we can save up the deposit money.  It will probably be before we have any kiddies.

Well we got married 3 months ago and I already have an almost 8 year old son so I checked ‘after kids’ and ‘2-5 years married’ because were trying to fix our credit and buying a home as soon as possible but I don’t see it happening for another year and a half or more.

I bought mine before I was with Darling Husband.  We’ve now been married for almost 2 months and are expecting!  I’m glad I don’t have to go through the home buying process while pregnant!  I would not have been able to handle it.

We closed on our first home last month, with the wedding 3 months away.  We were always planning on buying together, engagement or not.  We are also baby free.

We close on our house on Oct. 19. We got married last May, so about a year and a half following the wedding. We do not have children yet.

Well assuming we close on time we would be married 1.5 years with no baby on the way yet (and not trying)
