Hi! So I am just wondering when you purchased your wedding band for you and your SO?
Some will say there is a set time that most couples do this, but I am curious about what you did/will do! So let’s hear it! 🙂
My Fiance and I got engaged in January of this year. Our wedding is in August of 2014. We will be purchasing our wedding bands before June of this year (so in the next 2ish months). So we will be purchasing about 14-15 months prior to the wedding. We have some coupons to use prior to June at the jeweler so we figured we would use it to get our wedding bands, as the coupons will help us save a few hundred dollars!! I love a good deal!

We got out bands two days before out wedding. I was freaking out but when we went to the jelwer and it took less than an hour.

We’re getting married in September, already picked out our bands. Going back in may to purchase. So about 4months.

I got my ring late August or early September. Our wedding was mid November. So about 3ish months prior to our I-Do’s.

Darling Husband bought my band pretty early on because the prices on diamonds and rings kept going up and he figured he might as well buy it before it shot up anymore. His was quite inexpensive (no diamonds or anything) and we just got our at the same time out of convenience.

We haven’t picked out the bands yet. When we got my ring sized, I asked the jeweler about wedding bands and he said we need to order them 6 weeks before the wedding.

we both got our bands about a year before the wedding (which was about 3 months after we got engaged).

We bought mine on sale on Black Friday, so nine months out, and FI’s in January, I think? So seven months out. Mine was a matching set, so we bought it when it was probably cheapest. I found his and bought it ASAP.

my engagement and wedding rings were a set and we got my husband’s ring at the same time. the jewelry store threw it in for free. it was about 18 months before the wedding.

We bought ours shortly after our engagement – because the store where my fiancee bought (and designed) my engagement ring was having a “no tax weekend” and we decided it was worth it to take advantage of no tax on such a big purchase.

We have our bands picked out and are getting them this Friday so about 3 months 🙂 I’m so excited!

We got engaged in December 2012, bought bands in early February, and are getting married in late April. FH’s came in within two weeks. Six weeks later and my band isn’t in yet and neither is my engagement ring from being matched to the band. I am not a happy camper. I think the earlier the better but we are on a time crunch.

- Wedding: October 2014 - Ranch
Fiance bought mine as a set. He fell in love with my engagement ring, but the jeweler would only sell it as a set, so he did. I always wanted to go shopping for our wedding bands together and I always wanted a very thin, plain wedding band, whereas my wedding band has diamonds on all three sides so we plan on going shopping later on for his wedding band and my plain one, He will give me the diamond wedding band at the civil wedding and the plain one at our religious wedding. I wanted a stacked set so it all works out!

I chose my e-ring and wedding band at the same time, before Darling Husband formally proposed, because I wanted to know exactly what my rings would look like together before Darling Husband purchased my e-ring. He purchase both rings at the same time, about a week or two after I chose them.
I purchased his wedding band a few few months prior to our wedding.

I’m not getting married until the end of September 2015, but I got a $50-off coupon from Blue Nile, so I ordered my wedding band a few months ago. $50 off of a $185 ring ain’t chump change!
No clue when we’ll be getting my fiancé’s ring – we’ll probably wait until early 2015 to go try things on and see what he likes. He’s got pretty simple taste so I don’t think it’ll take long.
