I have an anterior placenta but I’m pretty thin – I started feeling “things” around 17 weeks, not kicks but it started feeling different and some weird sensations. At 19.5 weeks I started feeling and seeing kicks and it’s been pretty much every day since then (I’m almost 24 weeks now). I’ve heard doctors say anything before 16 weeks isn’t really the baby, and with an anterior placenta it can often be up to 25 weeks until you feel anything.

My memory is a little fuzzy, but thought I started feeling little movements in late 18 weeks, early 19. By 20 weeks though I was 100% sure I was experiencing movement. Never kicks though, more like rolling around.

PS: My doctor told me that with first pregnancies it can take up to 21 weeks to feel anything.

Kicks at 18w with #1 (never felt flutters).  Between 14-15 weeks with number #2 and those were more flutters or very subtle movements- kicks later.  Pretty sure anything between 16-25 weeks is normal

I was about 15-16 weeks when I started feeling what I thought was movement ocassionally- like someone was flicking me lightly from the inside. By 18 weeks I was confident that yes, what I had been feeling was/is definitely movement, now hard flicks. Now at 21 I feel kicks (the flicks) and rolls/flips all the time.

I MAY have felt something last weekend, and I will be 19 weeks tomorrow.  But my tummy was also being horrendous so it may have been gas. lol.

Tiny flutters at about 17 weeks, like a little butterfly flapping its wings in there.

18 w exactly I started feeling them. I think DH felt the first kick on the outside at about 21-22 weeks? not sure. Im 23w 3d today and DH & I both have been feeling arms and legs moving around along with very, very strong kicks! 🙂

I started getting faint movement around 20 weeks ish I think but it was just like muscle spasms and now I’m 22 weeks and it’s still on and off some days I get nothing. It mostly feels like my stomach is flipping (like when on a roller coaster or over a big dip in a car) I’ve had one or two actual kicks I could see from the outside but nothing much. I have a high anterior placenta.

giaf1 :  at 18 weeks I had what I thought was just gas.  But it was the baby moving, but at 20 weeks is when I could definitely feel her moving.  I think in any successive pregnancies I would be able to tell sooner rather than later when the baby was moving.

I’m currently 26 weeks and at 18 I was starting to feel flutters but not sure if they were actually baby.  By 20 weeks I was sure of the movement.

My little man is going nuts right now, at 22w2d 😊

I have an anterior placenta, and first felt what I thought was him at 18 weeks. It varied from feeling like little taps to scratches that didn’t hurt. Over the last week he has gotten a lot stronger and it feels like a pulse – fast and obvious – especially when I’m sitting still or lying down. I felt him from the outside 6 days ago, and my husband felt him for the first time last night.

18 weeks? Trust me once you get to like 23-24 weeks, they never stop, and especially when you lay down to go to sleep 🙂

mrscross1020 :  haha yes! Im almost 24w & I was telling Dh last night, “so this little one is just going to be kicking me super hard all day and I have to sit here and pretend its not happening?” although it was really nice the other night when I couldnt sleep and baby was doing some crazy stuff in there and I just got to sit there and feel it for awhile. 🙂
