I will be 22 weeks pregnant on Tuesday and my placenta is at my back… My doctor/friends/family/etc. have been telling me since about 16-17 wks that I will be able to feel him move “any time” and I’ve been so disappointed that it keeps not happening!
Well, last night, Darling Husband and I had a late lunch and as we left the restaurant, I went to the bathroom before the hour drive home… not 15 min into our drive, I had to get off the highway because I absolutely HAD to pee!!! While sitting at a stop light on our way to best buy (the closest restroom) I felt like my bladder was “flexing” almost. Well, anyway, I went to the bathroom and only got out a few drops, but after walking/moving the feeling went away… So, it occrued to me, maybe my baby was just kicking my bladder?
Then, last night I felt one strong kick just above my belly button, and this morning I’ve felt a few around my belly button area!
I’m so excited I can finally feel Xander moving!!! I can hardly wait until they’re strong/consistant enough that Darling Husband can feel them too. He’s measuring about a week behind schedule based on our anatomy scan, so he’s on the smaller side, but he’s got some stregnth to him, that’s or sure!
I was just telling him yesterday that I was getting worried that I still hadn’t felt anything when everyone told me I should be able to, I was planning to bring it up at my next appointment.
This is my first pregnancy, so I’m curious when did you ladies first feel your little ones moving around???

I delt my daughter move on the exact day that i hit 5 months. I was in the car driving to the grand canyon with my mom. At first i thought it was gas. Lol. I burst in to tears when i finally realized it was her.

juliette.eliza: I had felt a couple flutters or “maybe that’s the baby?” movements but nothing definitive before the anatomy scan at 19.5 weeks. We could see the baby moving all around on the screen but I couldn’t feel anything! A few days later I was getting off the chairlift and clearly felt a kick- I was exactly 20 weeks along. It was so cool!

I felt flutters at 17 weeks and a strong “oh, that’s definitely the baby!” kick at 20 weeks. My son was big for his gestational age (measured ahead at every scan from 12 weeks on) so I wonder if his size had something to do with feeling those first flutters relatively early.

Flutters at 16 weeks (even with an anterior placenta). At 26.5 weeks I feel her move a lot…moreso at night than any other time. It’s funny to see her get into a schedule. And she is ALWAYS on my bladder. I am so tired of using the restroom. lol I’ve never gone through so much toilet paper.

With my first child, I felt movement at 18 weeks. With my second child, I felt movement at 11-12weeks. It feels like flutters.

With my first baby I felt the “butterfly” feeling around 22 weeks and daddy felt baby move around 25-26 weeks. With my second I never felt the “butterflies” I went striaght to fetal movement and that was about 17 weeks. Daddy felt baby around 20 weeks. I would say you are probably feeling baby 🙂 I think I kept writing it off as too soon the first time. Good luck with Baby!

I felt movement at 14 weeks with my first, and definitive movement at about 19 weeks with my second.

I felt flutters and movement that I thought were the baby around week 15 or 16. But I was never 100% sure (I have anterior placenta). My aunt passed away and the funeral was week 20. And, obviously I was super emotional and upset, the baby must have fed off that because he didn’t settle once during the day. He moved constantly. And I’ve felt him daily since then. I’ll be 34 weeks on Tuesday and he moves so much and the movements are so strong now.
At 24 weeks my neice saw him move while we were swimming together (she’s 5.) But it took ages for Darling Husband to get to feel it. Without fail if he put his hand on my belly the baby would stop instantly. It became rather comical.

juliette.eliza: I felt flutters starting around 15 weeks (this is my first pregnancy that has progressed past the first trimester) and felt him kick at almost exactly 20 weeks, but they were so small and only when I was absolutely still. I’m 24 weeks Tuesday and feel him all the time. Hopefully, that one big kick is the start of many more you can actually feel!

I didn’t feel my first until 23-24 weeks. My second I started getting flutters around 14 weeks and could feel movement by 16… Which I think is crazy early!

sostobe: Oh man, the same thing happens when I put DH’s hand on my belly! It’s like the minute he feels dad’s hand, he stops or moves his kicks so we’re chasing him. It’s pretty cute, but annoying!

juliette.eliza: I didn’t feel mine until week 25 sometime. Maybe I just needed it To be really obvious, but I can only say for sure that I felt him around week 25, and knew it was him 🙂

I felt the very first flutter around 13 weeks, and then nothing again until about 16 weeks when it became regular. I think the first kick was 18 weeks and since then, baby has been having a party for one. Love it.

I felt the very first flutter at week 16 but couldn’t be sure of what it was. At week 18 it became very clear and baby has been kicking and moving consistently since then. I’m 27+3 now
