Id love to know at what stage people first heard their babies heartbeat. Of course every dr is different and does different exams at different stages but id love to know how far along you were when you first got to see/hear the heart beat 🙂

@MeeShell: I heard my daughters heartbeat when I was 9 weeks! It was so magical. It was with a Doppler.

it’s routinly listend to at antental clinic in the uk @ 16 weeks but some sonogrpahers let you hear the hearbeat at 12 some just show you it’s present. Also if you go for an early scan for whatever reason you often listen to it then 🙂 Hope that helps

I saw the heartbeat on ultrasound at my 9 week dating scan and my 12 week NT scan. I heard it out loud for the first time at my OB visit at 14 weeks. It was kind of amazing…

I saw it on Monday! Three days ago! Doc wasn’t able to pick up the sound though. I thought I was 7w6d but my doc measured 8w1d.
I was trembling when I left my appointment.
25 days til our next scan, fingers crossed.

I’m so jealous! I’m 10 weeks today, and won’t get an ultrasound or hear the baby until 12 weeks!

11 weeks with dd at my first appointment, I had only found out I was pregnant like 2 weeks before that. With my current pregnancy I heard it at my 1st ultrasound at 12wks 5days. I had a doc appointment 3 weeks before but they thought I was about 6wks so they didn’t try to hear a heartbeat not sure if the doppler would’ve picked it up.
