Why no poll? We heard ours at 10+4 I think. My GP refused to try before then, he doesn’t like the stress it gives expectant mothers when they can’t find it that early.

@MeeShell:  9 weeks. Baby A was fine but the doctor couldn’t hear baby B’s heartbeat at first and it was so scary. But then we heard it and it was amazing! That was one of the moments of my life, hearing my babies’ heartbeats for the first time. DH and I both did that weird laugh-cry thing because we were so estatic and relieved.

I had a transvaginal ultrasound at 6w 4 or 5 days and we heard/saw it then. Usually you don’t get an ultrasound that early but my doctor wanted to confirm my dates (even though I was 100% sure) and I had a bit of cramping which I could tell was normal but my doc wanted to be sure. I wasn’t about to complain about getting to see baby earlier!

It’s now 4:53 am and I’m up feeding that little baby who is now 4 weeks old! Time sure does fly.

I think I was about 17 weeks (was late getting a midwife) and it was with those mini sound doohickeys they press against your belly. Was absolutely amazing as I hadn’t had any connection with the ‘thing in my belly’ until that point really and that really made it all very real and lovely. Ooh feeling clucky remember pregnancy.

I heard it at 9 weeks. It was so super fast! It was pretty amazing to hear.

I didn’t get to hear it again at my last appointment, but I did get to see baby stretch its arms above his/her head, it was so sweet to see. Can’t wait until my next appointment in 4 weeks, I’m sure so much will have changed by then!

I saw it and heard it at my first ultrasound at 7 weeks, it was not transvaginal. Doctor thought I was 8 weeks but I was actually only 7 (which I knew would be the case because of my long cycles and late ovulation)

Probably around 12 weeks with a doppler that we purchased online. When we got our ultrasound done at 11 weeks we didn’t get to hear the heartbeat which suprised me!

@MeeShell:  I saw the LO’s heartbeat at 6w2d. I went in very early for scans because of a prior MC. Going in today to see it for the second time! FX all is well!

I was shocked that I was able to, but I heard it around 7 weeks.

Super jealous! I’m 13 weeks today and still have not heard LO’s HB yet. I have an appt today and my NT scan on Friday so I am REALLY hoping to here is soon.
