Hi! I’m a new bee 😊 I just wanted to say, that I love all of your beautiful rings! And I know this is going to sound silly, but I didn’t always see myself getting married but the first time I laid eyes on Beyoncé’s emerald cut sparkler a few years ago, I lost it. I knew then that I wanted a diamond like that, and it was funny, because I’d never given much thought to what kind of ring I’d want. It was like a sign. I’m actually getting engaged soon! My boyfriend and I picked out an emerald cut on James Allen and went to get it set at a jeweller a couple weeks ago. I’m so excited…I’ve been stalking everyone’s beautiful ring posts for weeks now, and sitting and waiting for mine to be done. I honestly couldn’t be happier. I love him dearly.

I knew I wanted a sapphire for years, and more recently realized rose gold was an option.  I’d been looking at traditional blue sapphires in rose gold settings when, on a whim, I decided to modify my search for a sapphire in my favorite color (mint green).  I honestly didn’t know if they even existed.  Google returned a hit matching my exact specifications — mint green + rose gold — with a bunch of other details I hadn’t considered but loved (pave, so I still got some diamonds on my engagement ring; thin band to make my fingers look less stubby; hidden details on the underside of the basket; &c.).  I was in love.

Being one-of-a-kind-ish, I was very scared the ring would sell before I could sell my [now-husband] on it, but in the end, he didn’t let that happen.  (Since then, I’ve checked back on the jeweler’s site, and while they still make lovely rings, I haven’t seen anything quite like mine since so I’m really glad we acted!)

As to when I actually *saw* my dream ring… well, take that date I “saw” it online, and add about another eighteen months… -_-  But I’m happily married with it now, so it was well worth the wait! πŸ™‚

faina9286 :  Do you have photos of you ring on here? That sounds like a lovely combo, but I’m sure the image in my head isn’t doing it justice.

nrlong :  I sure do! But I’ll save you the effort of having to search for them. πŸ™‚

Top view, the green’s really nice here:

Side view, since the rose gold is less apparent in the top view:

And a shot with my plain rose gold wedding ring:

The first time i saw my ring was on weddingbee! I had realized i wanted a moissanite after falling inlove with a few on etsy, so after a lot of research i decided i wanted a ring from moissaniteco. At the time moissaniteco did not have many real life photos of their rings. So i would come on weddingbee and search for bees who posted photos of the ring style # i liked. Thats when i found my eng440.

laurenthurbon :  Honestly, I found my dreamring when it landed on my finger. I was highly involved in designing my ring. But, when we started the process..I wasn’t sure what I wanted. It took a lot of trying on…and then when I decided what design I wanted, I was no longer allowed to be part of the process. I never saw the final product until she landed on my finger. And it was so worth the wait!!

I had been researching/compiling inspiration pics on-and-off for about 3 years but never actually “loved” anything – just at the most some “very intense liking” of some designs and stones. I didn’t actually see my dream ring until just before the holidays last December when I was browsing Etsy in bed one morning and randomly found a beautiful chevron leaf-motif wedding band and then when I saw the matching engagement ring, I was a goner! The 18k rose gold, the floral motif, milgrain, petal basket, and moonstone center? UNF.

The boyfriend got it back in June and it was on my finger for about 3 seconds last month to make sure it fit perfectly for the upcoming proposal and then he hid it away. Now I’m going totally bananas and can’t wait to have it on my finger again! So much more beautiful in person, which I couldn’t even believe was possible.

I first seen mine years ago on Pinterest but didn’t think it was real so I never thought I would ever get it.  Then two christmas’s ago my FH surprised me with it ❀️ Turns out there’s a jeweler in Japan that makes them.  I’m definitely the luckiest girl in the world 😍
