I was the first of my close friend circle to get married. I’m 26 (DH is 32). I was 25 when we got married. The majority of my friends are single, it does make it really tough sometimes. I don’t think we relate to each other as well sometimes. I wish some of my friends would get married so I had someone to chat with! (I guess that’s what this site is for!).

Many of my good friends are from grad school and were mostly older than me, so me and Darling Husband were behind them by a few years, but we were the first of DH’s group of friends.
I was 29 and Darling Husband was 30 when we got married.

We got married in the middle of my social group.

We were the second to get engaged… and the second to get married 😉 Our group actually had a run of 3 engagements over about a year and then we all got married in reverse order to the engagements. One more couple got engaged laet September just before the third wedding and were married in Jan, and a fifth couple just got engaged last weekend! All things considered it’s all been pretty closely timed.

We have a group of friends that consists of 3 other couples, and we’re getting married after all of them. We are also the youngest couple in that group.
However, in my group of 3 closest girlfriends from HS, I’m the second to get engaged and the first to get married.

- Wedding: January 2013 - Pecan Springs Events in Brookshire
We got married when many of our friends were already married, two of them just celebrated 10 year anniversary, couple of them are divorced, and one friend just married early March and another one in April 2015, and we have four that are single. As they say, save the best for last which is where I am and he is probably in the middle of his group.

In the middle. I have friends who got married long before me and I have friends who are still single and not even planning.
Also child free by choice.

By the time we are officially engaged, I think we will be a couple of years ahead of 95% of our social group. The only people to get engaged and married before us is my SO’s brother and wife, they are 33 though – We are 29 & 30, and Future Sister-In-Law wanted to get a move on so they could start a family stat!
