I am now 29 weeks and my feet and calves have already started to swell. I noticed my fingers have as well- enough that I took my wedding ring off. For some reason I didn’t think I would get swollen until the last month. Is this normal? (I do have a dr’s appt tomorrow- so I am not going to worry too much about it today.) My feet look like they are going to pop! But they don’t hurt.
When did you start to swell and what did you do to reduce the swelling?

@Lolasmomma: yes! I just opened this up to say “exactly 29 weeks” and there you go, you too, huh??
I hadn’t been swelling at all until the Monday before last – I went to work wearing my heels as usual and it wasn’t even noon before my feet were swelling up and over my shoes! I called my Dr. and she asked if I had any leg pain – funny thing, I did! I woke up with a charley-horse in my left calf, so she asked me to come in right away. The danger is if it’s in relation to your blood pressure – it wasn’t.
Do you sit in an office all day? My swelling is due to sitting for the majority of my work day, crossing my legs. The weight of my belly is cutting off the circulation and fluid is just collecting in my legs/feet. They said to elevate them when I can, try icing them. When I go home I do lie on my left side and ice and they do go down but a couple hours into the work day and they’re back up again. I have 3 pairs of shoes that fit me right now. Two pairs of Uggs and flip flops, totally professional for my office, ugh… no one cares but I just feel so awful and half-dressed, I hate it. Oh well, 10 more weeks! 🙂
