I pump exclusively and got my first AF the day after her 6 month birthday.

My cousin still nurses (pumps while she’s at work) and is just over 7 months post partum and has not gotten her period back.

A friend of mine’s LO is 15 months old and her cycle still hasn’t returned for her. My mom’s always returned around 5-6 months. My maternal grandmother though, hers never returned while she was nursing at all. I haven’t had my baby yet, so no anecdotal experience from me yet.

I can’t speak from experience yet either but my brother and I are 18 months apart which means my mom must have gotten hers back at least by 8 months PP, possibly a bit earlier even.  My SIl had a baby last year and hers didn’t return until her baby was about 15/16 months?

I bf (pump at work) and got my first cycle when LO was 4 months. Foo. I was looking forward to many more months without the hassle.

I’m twelve months pp and still no AF but I’m EBF and still night nursing.  As a general rule, nursing between 11pm and 5am will keep AF at bay due to the higher prolactin levels.

I EBF’d my daughter until she was 6 months, then started introducing foods.

I continued Bfing her until she was 14 months old. I went back to work when she was 12 months, and was only realing Bfing at night… still didn’t get AF until a month I completely stopped BFing her (So 15months PP)
