Hopefully really really soon. We just put in an offer yesterday on a fixer upper that we both really love. We knew we wanted a house before the wedding though because we are tired of renting and wanted a house to start our married life in together. So while we might not have a tentative date set, probably next july, for the wedding, we hope to get the house we put the offer in on in a few short months. Making us home owners at the ages of 30 and 28

I got my condo 6 months ago, and I was 20 at the time.
I’m an old soul, haha. Started early.

We’re overseas and will be for a while so no house for us. I bought my first house with ex-H 3 years after we got married. DH has never owned a home.
A friend of mine closed on her first home the DAY after her wedding. They skipped a honeymoon and FINALLY took one for their 10 year anniversary.

- Wedding: October 2011 - Bed & Breakfast
We started looking for our forever home 3 months after we got engaged, but went through real estate hell for 18 months before finally closing. We closed 8 months after the wedding, and moved in 1 week later. We’re thrilled to finally have our forever home!

We got married in April 2010. Bought our house in June of 2011. It’s about to be our first anniversary of being homeowners.
So happy to be in the house but the whole process of getting there was long and arduous. Worth it though!

I bought a one bedroom condo 1.5 years before we got married. We moved in togehter and decided on everything, he pays 1/2 of everything, but I was not willing to put our names on something until we were married and he agreed that was probably best. He proposed 6 months after we moved in, we have now been married 2 months and are saving for a down payment on a house in the future 🙂 We love the condo and its perfect for us, we said we plan on staying her at least 5 years!
