I don’t know what’s standard. We got 10 or so sneak peek photos a day or two after the wedding, and then a month after that our photographer uploaded all the pics to her proofing site. About 2 weeks after that we got the cd with all the pics on it.

There was a sneak peak on his FB site a day later, all the pics on the online album 5 days later. We will have to wait 8-12 weeks for the prints to arrive.

Hi, date twin! We got a sneak peak (one) on August 1st, and yesterday we got our slideshow (about 90 photos). The rest we should have in another 4-6 weeks.

Did your photographer give you a timeline? Ours “warned” us that this is his busiest season, so that’s made it a little easier to wait.

We got a preview on fb about 2 days after the wedding, and then the full set of photos to select from for our album about a week later. Pretty quick!

I received the first half of my pro pics just over 7 weeks after the wedding, and I’m still waiting for the reception pictures!  It’s been a lot longer than I expected, but the first half was worth the wait.

We got two sneak peeks that night, a sneak peek FB album of 25 within that week I think, and then all of them online (password protected, obvi) and our cd probably within 1.5 months?

We got some sneak peeks the day after but the rest came a month later. That was in our contract so it’s what I was expecting.

Our photographer took forever and a day to send the dvd with images. It was a full five months (20 weeks) for the dvd with images-no special editing-just laziness on her part (in my opinion). There was a sneak peek of images up on facebook about a week after the wedding.

I don’t think the photographer we hired is typical though.

I would say standard is 4-8 weeks. Most photographres will have delivery times in their contract.

We got our CD back with all the images fully edited in a month to the day.  I’m not sure what is standard though.  Our photographer doesn’t have a website to post them to (or for others to order from) and doesn’t do sneak peeks, so I think that’s why we had such a quick turn around time.

@Pinksapphire:  Don’t think you need to be worried yet, since you have received sneaks, and they gave you a timeframe.

I’d e-mail everyone at the wedding, though, and say “hey people! Send me photos now!” 🙂

What does your contract state?  It’s the middle of the busiest time of the year, 6-8 weeks is pretty standard for most photographers.

All of our photos were online 6 weeks after and we got the CD with them a few days later.
