Was thinking of starting the process August 4th…just about 10 months out…is that too early? My thinking is everyone will be tan and about the color that they would be for my wedding day, and the styles I’m looking for are available then.
When did you have your bridesmaids try on?

My wedding is June 23, 2013 and I plan to have my bridesmaids try their dresses on sometime in September, so I don’t think that’s too early at all!

I’m 9.5 months out and we’re going this weekend. I think your reasoning is good. This way if you don’t find exactly what you’re looking for right away, you still have time and don’t need to stress 🙂

I’m about 10 months out, and we went last month, mostly because it was the only time my four BMs would all be in the same location before the wedding!

We did it 9 months out. We had them all in a salon over winter break (one girl is in med school and the other two were in master’s programs). It was the only time they would all be in the same state until the shower haha. The girls ordered their dresses in their respective states 6 months before the wedding and all three have their dresses in hand now, 4 months out. The one girl who is for-sure getting alterations will have loads of time to have them done.

Oh good! So it sounds like I’m doing it around the right time then! Great 🙂

my wedding just passed, but I had them try on dresses when I was shopping for my dress … and that was in December.

We bought ours in February for my November wedding. Early is definitely good – we tried ours for my sister’s wedding in January and the wedding was in June. The dresses only arrived two weeks before the wedding!!
