allyfally:  I have an OBGYN and I went in at 7w2d. I actually made the appointment months earlier for some unrelated to pregnancy paperwork, so they just let me keep the appointment.

I had an appointment, ultrasound, and blood drawn

I just got my BFP on Sat 4/23 and called my OB on Monday. They typically see patients at 7 wks but my OB doesn’t have any availability until the end of May and that’s 9wks from my LMP. Wish I didn’t have to wait so long!!

With my regular OB 8 weeks, when I saw a RE I was monitored from the very beginning and had ultrasounds starting at 4 weeks.

allyfally:  I am 6W6D at the moment.

I went to my GP at roughly 4-5 weeks to confirm pregnancy, do standard bloods and he referred me to an U/S to confirm dating.  the U/S showed I was earlier than we thought based off my last period, by about 4 days.  Sac and yolk were all good, but too early to detect a heartbeat.  I’ve been scheduled in for another U/S at 8 weeks, and will do Harmony testing at 10 weeks.

My first appointment with the midwives at the hospital won’t be until after the 12 week mark, in which case I will take all this information to them.

allyfally:  10 weeks. Even when I was pregnant after a miscarriage, they still said “call back at 10 weeks.”

My old OB’s office has you come in right away to confirm with their urine test (even though I’m sure my 5 HPT were just as accurate). During that appt, they schedule you for their introductory class. At that class they give you some general education about what you can expect over the next few months, what resources they have available, a quick nutrition lecture. They also make you do a glucose test (early screening, I don’t know why), draw labs, and schedule you for your first OB appt and ultrasound. They prefer to see people around 8 weeks. I was seen around 10w because my insurance didn’t kick in until I was already 6 weeks along, and I had to go through all these hoops.

I have had midwives all 3 times, and it has been around 10 or 11 weeks.  However I knew I would need a dating U/S, so I went to my family doc to order that for me around 8 weeks, so that by the time I had my first MW appointment, it would already be done.

allyfally:  I went to a lab and had my blood drawn to confirm pregnancy as soon as I found out (which was around 5 weeks). I also had an “intake appointment” where they get my medical history and had me fill out a bunch of paperwork, at about 6 weeks. I have my first “real” appointment with the OB on Friday, which will be just shy of 8 weeks (7+5), if you go by my LMP. I ovulated early, so if you go by the date of conception I’ll be just over 8 weeks.
