Mrs. Meowerson :  first Doppler at 11 weeks, first and only ultrasound at 19 weeks but I saw a midwife at a birth center. Congrats on your pregnancy!

First at 5 1/2 weeks (no fetus), second at 7 weeks (no heartbeat), and third will be at 8 weeks, which will likely confirm miscarriage (because the 7 week fetus didn’t grow enough from the last ultrasound, but was too big to not have a heartbeat).

I think it would have been easier on us to just have one at 8 weeks with a stark “yes or no” on viability, instead of living so long with the uncertainty.  :/  Now I’m in zombie pregnancy zone: overwhelmingly likely not viable, but still annoyingly pregnant with all the fun first trimester symptoms.

Mrs. Meowerson :  I started early–5 weeks but I was under the care of a RE. They don’t use dopplers at my MFM’s office because he feels they aren’t accurate with twins so I’m not sure about that. They just check their heartrates through ultrasound.

I had my first OB appointment at 7 weeks. First US at 8.5 weeks (dating scan, doctor said 10 weeks would have been ideal, but I was leaving for a trip so we did it early). Second US at 12 weeks (that was the NT scan).  Next Ultrasound is set for 17 weeks (the detailed anatomy one, usually done at 20 weeks, but my job starts up again so my dr said we could try it earlier and re-do it later if that can’t see enough)

p.s. my dr is super understanding!

I had my first ultrasound at 6 weeks! We were able to see a fetal pole and hear the heartbeat. At my 10 week midwife visit, she used a doppler and was able to hear the baby! At 12 weeks, I had my NT scan and saw the baby again. It’s crazy how much growth there is in those 6 weeks! It’s been amazing and I actually cry each time.

My next ultrasound won’t be until 20 weeks isA! I’m 14 weeks now 🙂

You’re going to be so excited! Good luck Bee!

I had my first ultrasound at 9 weeks. They wanted me to have one because my cycles were irregular and they needed to get a correct gestation age.

Transvaginal ultrasound around 8 weeks; we both saw and heard the heartbeat.

Abdominal ultrasound around 12 weeks for the NT scan; we both saw and heard the heartbeat.

Doppler at my next visit (around 15 weeks maybe?). They do the doppler at every check-up that doesn’t have an ultrasound, just so that I can hear the heartbeat. Of course, I have a doppler at home, so I can hear the heartbeat whenever I want. I love it. 🙂

My first sonogram was at 7w. We didn’t see much – just a blob, haha. It was transvaginal and we were able to see the HB, but not hear it. We heard the HB at our 12w appointment which was another sonogram.

Hadmy first ultrsound for dateing at 10 weeks. I knew dates pretty well since I was on meds to ovulate and tracked every step of the way.

12 weeks and only to date. We want to limit them.
