    Wow…what a bell curve!  I’m with the majority on this one, although it was 3 more years until the second person.

    Well this is a story I share with no one, besides the people that were there. I was 12, almost 13. It was a terrible experience, and in a way I feel like I might have been somewhat raped. I really don’t remember much of it. I actually was drunk. My older sister and her friend were a huge influence on me that summer, since my mother was too out of it to take care of me. I drank with them because I thought it was the cool thing to do. Needless to say I must have gotten far too drunk. I remember being in a hotel room with the “friend” and 3 guys. All I remember is me screaming from pain, and seeing a videotape in the corner. It was a terrible, horrible experience. I hate thinking about it. It also opened up a whole new window of horror stories for the next couple of years afterwards. I regret it all. On the other hand, I am a very mature young adult now, and cherish my body with all I have now. It took me 10 years, and a baby to get to where I am, but I’m pretty confident in who I am today, so I suppose thats all that matters.

    @Bostonsmom:Oh my, I felt like I did the same thing! Lol. I just wanted to get it over with too, and found some hot guy that didn’t want much other than sex. I thought “This is it!” Who knew that it would be it, and he would be the one to tell me he loved me before I even knew, and that we would be getting married! It’s so crazy. Lol. He just showed me this card he made a few days after we had sex that just said “I love you”. Lol, and he didn’t give it to me until two years later, and instead blurted it out while driving me home from a hook up.

    This terrifies me. No offence to anyone who choose to lose it early but if I have a daughter she is wearing a chasity belt till she is at least 18. I would prefer till she is married (personal desicion, and is mine) but goodness…at 12 I barely knew what sex was, let alone being even close to mature enough to have it!

    @chasesgirl:

    I’m not sure exactly what a chastity belt is these days, or how you are going to enforce a teenage girl to wear one, but goodluck with that. I honestly believe that if a child is raised properly, with love, support, encouragement, nourishment, and a healthy environment, that the chances are very low she will become promiscous. I know for me, and other girls I know growing up, we lacked so many of those qualities in our family life, that promiscuity was all we knew to get the attention, and “love” that we so desperatley wanted.

    So sorry, I forget my sarcasm doesn’t transfer through the internet! Well, sarcasm maybe the wrong word but humor-ish, I realize that an actual chastity belt would be ridiculous.

    I was 19.

    It breaks my heart that girls as young as 11 or 12 are having sex. I’m sorry but that is way too young. There is no way that they can have any real idea of what they are doing to themselves….

    I was 18.  Summer boyfriend.  I was super ready and have no regrets.  That guy turned out to be kind of an ass, but I’ve loved sex ever since, so I guess he was good for something!

    I was 22 and it was just a few weeks before my college graduation. I had several boyfriends in high school and college, but never felt “ready” with any before this one. I didn’t have any deep conviction to wait until marriage, but it was a serious decision that I didn’t take lightly. I was also very naive–it took me years to figure out that a high school boyfriend actually dumped me because I wouldn’t sleep with him. I thought he was interested and sympathetic to the reasons I stated for not wanting to go all the way–ha! 🙂  After 6 years together my “first” and I broke up in 2006. The next guy I slept with is now my husband.

    I was 20, almost 21 with my SO after 2 1/2 yrs in the relationship, we were both virgins and the last of our friends cash in the V- Card.

    I wasn’t trying to wait until marriage or for religious reasons but did consider it an important desicion and something worth waiting for. My main concern and what probably made me wait as long as I did was actually the potencial for unwanted pregnancy. Even though I was on hormonal birthcontrol, I waited until I was sure I could handle the responsablity of a child, if I became part of that small number of women that get pregnant while on BC.

    We both waited until we were married (at 23). It was definitely hard (and part of why we did NOT want a long engagement haha) but I am SO thankful we did.
